Buying wood scale SAKs online means you'll end up with a delightful surprise from mother nature; each handle's wood grain is naturally going to be unique.I have a few different SAKs with wooden scales and luckily, no two even share the same shade.Lovely multitool for the city or for outdoor adventure. The large saw would come handy in the latter case. Nonetheless, its aesthetics are very pleasing and so are its ergonomics.It will surely outlive most of us, and would make a great heirloom to pass on :p

It was love at first sight, its large practical and beautiful knife was the clincher for me. Its truly a collectors item. The downside being it doesn't come with a case and a proper sized leather case isnt available.The price have dropped around Rs.1000 since i bought it...hmm...The way in which it was send by Amazon was pathetic, they send it in just an amazon printed cover.I recently came across with one issue, i will update my experience and rating with RW55 once I get the feedback...

Bonita navaja y de buen tamaño, me gustó que sobresalieran del diseño/color clásico o común.La cuchilla principal no la sentí tan afilada para mis estándares o gustos pero nomás es de afilarla.La sierra esta impresionantemente buena tanto que me piqué de manera accidental.En lo personal siento que trae las herramientas necesarias o indispensables y ya; mejor para mi que no me gusta cargar con tanta herramienta innecesaria para mi día a día.No trae palillo de dientes ni pinzas este modelo a comparación de las de plástico debido a que las cachas son de madera pero que a su vez esta misma hace que se vea una diferencia notable contra los modelos tradicionales sacándola de lo "clásico" por su material exterior.Ojo que existen diferencias de color en las maderas de cada modelo como es natural de la madera. Pedí 2 y una es notablemente más oscura que la otra. Ahí sí puede interferir en los gustos de cada quien y puede ser una deventaja al comprarla online por no poder escoger el color de la madera de la navaja.Calidad, diseño y funcionalidad Victorinox.

J'ai acheté ce couteau pour mon mari. Il est super, en bois et inox de qualité. Le système de sécurité pour le refermer fonctionne bien et n'est pas trop dur. Plusieurs accessoires très utiles. Bref, il est top!

Ich habe mir das Victorinox Taschenmesser Ranger Wood 55 gekauft, da ich ein Messer wollte, das vielseitig, und "outdoorfähig" ist. Bei diesem Messer ging es mir auch nicht darum, das es kompakt ist. Dieses Messer hat auch eine kleine Säge dabei, es ist also perfekt als "Abenteuer Messer". So viel zur Intention des Kaufes.Das Taschenmesser wird in einem Schächtelchen geliefert, zusammen mit einem Faltblatt, das die Verwendung und die Pflege des Messers erklärt. Das Faltblatt selber enthält mehrere Sprachen darunter auch Deutsch. Für mich ist das Faltblatt mehr als ausreichend, letztlich ist es ein Taschenmesser, und kein Lithographie System von ASML, oder das Steuerungssystem einer Mondrakete.Die Verarbeitung des Messers ist perfekt. Auch die Holz Griffschalen fassen sich echt gut an. Auch die Form der Griffschalen ist sehr angenehm in der Hand. Die Messer Klinge ist scharf geschliffen. Dieses Messer hat einen Mechanismus, das die Klinge verriegelt. Die Entriegelung funktioniert sehr gut, indem man das Victorinox Symbol drückt. Dieses Symbol ist so perfekt in die Griffschale aus Holz eingepasst, das man es gar nicht merkt, wofür das Logo verwendet wird! Die Werkzeuge funktionieren alle. Auch die Säge ist wirklich gut. Kleinere Äste kann man damit echt gut sägen. Einen 100 Jahre alten Baum wird man aber eher nicht mit der Säge fällen können. Ich bin mir sicher, dass ich an diesem Messer viel Freude haben werde bei meinen Outdoor Tätigkeiten!Es sollte klar sein, das dieses Messer eher kein klassisches TASCHENmesser ist. Es ist mit ~13cm im zugeklappten Zustand nicht gerade Hosentaschen tauglich. Als Outdoor Messer in einem Holster oder einer entsprechenden Beintasche ist es aber perfekt!Fazit:Das Messer ist gut extrem verarbeitet und ist dazu noch schick. Es ist in Europa (der Schweiz) hergestellt. Daher geht der Preis auch für mich in Ordnung. Daher gebe ich 5 Sterne!
