Easy to read, very practical and full of comprehensive and beautifully drawn diagrams to use in your projects.

This book is extremely useful. I am planning to have a new sustainable cottage built. I have borrowed many nice looking coffee table edition books about architecture and sustainable buildings. They were full of fantasy projects that I couldn't afford to build. But this book takes a different approach. The 101 rules low energy building rules that are listed, are extremely easy to understand for a non technical person like me. And if you want to dig into the theory and numbers behind the rules, there are a set of very detailed notes and reference at the end of the book. I recommend this book as a first stop for anyone interested in low energy and sustainable houses.

It is a great book. Easy to understand and very direct on the rules. The illustrations are very helpful as well. However, if you are looking for a deep explanation, that's not the book. It is more for a reminder on thing to consider while designing and the basic information about it.

Great book, I'm a first year studying architecture and am finding this book really handy. It makes designing sustainable buildings simpler. The author was my tutor for technology and he was a brilliant lecturer. He uses his drawings to explain things in this book like he did in the lectures. He will be one of my tutors again next year, and after buying/ using this book I am looking forward to studying with him even more!

Nice simple little pick up and flick through book. Explains the core concepts well and intelligently represented in graphic form with clear diagrams and simple use of colour.
