a bit pricey but adds a great umami flavor to instant ramen
I use this stuff instead of asian oyster sauce. The only oyster sauces I've found that bring the right flavor tend to come with toxic warnings because of pollution concerns ... THIS stuff is made from tiny fish that aren't alive long enough to become a problem and brings that same richness of flavor to things like my instant ramen (I buy the high protein low carb sort that coast like $8 a serving) ... just adding a dash of this stuff totally elevates the flavor and bring in a richness that makes my mouth happy

Garum?
I was looking for a replacement for ancient garum, and this was recommended. It has a very nice salty fish taste, just don't add too much as it is strong.

YES - every pasta dish needs this
Delicious! A great way to add subtle flavor to pasta (and j don’t even like warm anchovy). It does not taste like fish. Recommended by a world renowned chef and it’s convenient to use vs opening a messy jar for the oil.

And one bottle goes a long way, possibly years, and it never goes bad sitting out on the counter (tightly closed).

all good except for packaging
Shipping was very quick, but packaging was horrible. The glass bottle was broken in transit and leaked all over/through the envelope. Tried to contact seller with no response. The sauce was very fragrant and aromatic, leading me to believe that the sauce is full of flavor. Unfortunately, I am unable to use it for cooking as it is mixed with broken glass from the broken bottle. I would love to reorder and try to cook with the sauce, but the seller has yet to respond to my message.

Interesting flavor
I didn't know what to expect, but it works for my cooking needs. It's a bit of acquired taste, but I was very curious as to what Garum tastes like and wanted to experience what & why the ancient Romans love to eat it. A little bit goes a long way, but it works well in veggie stir fry dishes and can be substitute for fish sauce in certain recipes. Taste it first before adding to anything, just so you know ahead of time.
