FantasiaFantasia Materials: 1 lb Sapphire and Ruby Rough Stones from India

I am OVERJOYED with the sheer quality of the Sapphire and Ruby Rough that I received from Fantasia Mining! Besides the AWESOME shipping (ordered Friday morning and received Monday!), the quality of the stones are probably are the BEST raw stones that I have EVER purchased!!!!!!! Some of the specimens are TRULY BREATHTAKING - especially the Rubies!!!!! I know that it says "not gem quality", but there were a few Rubies in my shipment (I have only got about 20 stones into the approx. 75 stones!) that as soon as I cleaned them, look nearly gem quality - IN RAW FORM! One stone in particular is such a rich ruby pink/red, that after I cleaned and polished with a jewelers' cloth, I am seriously considering taking to my local jeweler to have mounted into a ring! It is that gorgeous! I am a huge collector of raw stones - usually purchasing each stone individually - WAY OVERPRICED - but I am so very pleased that I found Fantasia on Amazon! I will purchase from again an again . . . and hopefully, I can get to Arkansas and do my own digging at the mine! If you are as passionate as myself for raw stones, do yourself a favor and purchase from Fantasia!!!! You won't regret it!

This doesn't look like much when you first get it. As one reviewer down below said, it looks like gravel. If you're patient with tumbling, however, you will find some real gems in there. I've created two ruby rings for my daughter so far, and one even had a few specks of gold. People need to understand something about tumbling ruby (as I've worked with it before)...ruby is the hardest gemstone right after diamonds. You can tumble it for months with 60 grit and it's not going to look like stuff you see in a jewelry store. Tumbled ruby has a look all its own, and I happen to like it. Both rings I created for my daughter are deep red and while smooth on the surface still have little flaws that make it quite unique.

My wife & I are a bit disappointed in this package. All other orders I've purchased from Fantasia have been excellent. I'm still sanding & cutting thru the muck, but have only found one decent Sapphire.. but no Ruby. Obviously, I wasn't expecting much for the price.., but something resembling a Ruby would of been nice!

Yes, the stones, I received, were exactly, as advertised, I'm happy with what I received! I'm still learning, the difference, between what is really a rock and what is really a gem. I will definitely be buying more from Fantasia, as I am an avid gemstone enthusiast! Now, I need to purchase a tumble, diamond file and polisher! Does your company sell these?Thank-You and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Thank goodness I can go on Amazon to find the teaching materials I need. These will last me for several years, and my students will have so much fun finding and identifying them.

Product as described, arrived quickly and in good order. Kids identified numerous ruby/sapphires immediately in the lot and are anxious to tumble them and see how it turns out. Satisfied customer.

The 1 lb rough sapphire and ruby mix came quickly and at a good price. They are in our rock tumbler now so it will be a few weeks before we see how they come out. We were excited to receive them and will probably be buying more when we finish polishing these.

The ones I received were quite small and the first time through the tumbling cycles they didn't come out too well. I am running the entire batch through again with some other larger stones to see if they will work.
