I simply love these lighter/pipe units, and couldn't go back to a regular pipe ever again. I literally use a third of the smoking material ever day that I used with a regular pipe. Virtually no product is wasted by going in the air, or burning for some time after being used. I save enough in a couple of weeks to pay for the cost of the unit. I can get 24 hours out of a single pipe load if I stir it occasionally when it gets low. The hit is smooth, but extremely powerful, be careful when you hit it until you are used to it. HOWEVER, there are some caveats...Okay, here's the straight truth. This pipe is not for people who can't figure out how to adjust a lighter's flame. These pipes are wonderful, but are VERY sensitive to the gas being used. If the refill can gets near the end, or hasn't been shaken before filling every time, or you change brands of butane, you WILL have to adjust it to burn correctly. (By the way, if you want to avoid the problem for the most part, shake the refill can every time before refilling, and use a super high quality butane refill, at least 99.99% pure, such as Lotus brand, and you'll save yourself money and frustration in the long run.) You must leave the lighter sit after refilling for at least a minute, preferably two, or you'll swear it has no gas when you try and light it. Always shake the refill can before refilling, and occasionally bleed the unit dry to remove any of the stale gas left in it after several refills, by using an old adapter from a refill can. IMPORTANT: the adjustment is incredibly sensitive. You must use the correct size small flat blade screwdriver to adjust it or you'll ruin it. It is clearly marked by the adjustment screw which way to turn it. DO NOT TURN IT ALL THE WAY TO THE STOP OR YOU WILL RUIN THE LIGHTER!!! When you adjust the flame, just move the adjustment the tiniest amount at a time, (if you even think it might have moved but aren't sure, you moved it the correct amount), now retry the lighter and repeat if necessary. Too much flame, and it will blow out the vent holes, and not light properly. Too little flame and it will, of course, not stay lit. Once you get used to this, it's no big deal, it takes just seconds to adjust it properly. I have purchased at least a dozen of these over the last few years, both for myself and family members. I received only one lighter which wouldn't activate when "clicked", but I took the cover off of the lighter portion, and hooked up the lever which had not been connected when it was assembled at the factory, and it's now my favorite one after two years, & still works great.Again, it is sooo worth the setup, this pipe is wonderful!

These are OK would I buy it again probably not! I just feel it wasn't worth the money because if the butane gets cold it takes forever for it to work.

OK, I was excited to purchase this. I love these types of pins. But this gets clogged so easy. I'm spending so much time unclogging it, I give up. Also, if the screw is slightly loose, it won't work at all. The flame has to be perfect too or it won't work right. The metal screen also burned up quickly.

One of the pipes did not work. I won’t return because I’ve been an avid user for over 5 years and I will use the spare parts rather than go through the drama of returning. They were both sealed in plastic and obviously brand new. I do love these pipes though. And one of them works like a dream. I forgot how great they are new.

Both quit working after a couple weeks. Neither one will stay lit even after refilling the butane

They work great, very convenient. However, it only lasted 3 months.

Really wanted to love this product - it just doesn't work first one will not light at all. Second one Works sometimes after messing with it (shaking it, repeatedly clicking it) for one lite and then you have to mess with it again. I have fillled and bleed and refilled still same issues.
