Are they thick?Each potholder is about 1/4 inch thick and made of 100% natural cotton, unlike those pot holders made of synthetic materials that will melt or burn when exposed to high heat.They are fairly thick, and the weave is tight so you won't burn through them, but soft enough to bend to get a good grip on hot items.We recommend to wash these before using as the newness of the fabric makes them a little stiff at first. The more you wash them the softer they get.Is there a pocket in the pot holder?There is no pocket; but if you want to grab something from the oven quickly, this is a nice thick potholder that's well made and really protects your hands from heat.Are these pot holders for kitchen heat resistant?These can be used to take food from a 400-450 degree oven. They also work well as trivets for hot pots and pans & hot pads for kitchen counter on a wood surface.Are these washable?Yes, please machine wash in cold water on gentle cycle, with like colors. Dry on low heat or let them air dry to minimize shrinkage. Do not use bleach or fabric softener.

Exceptional product.
One nearly forgotten colour, that of navy blue, brings such a classic and clear simplicity, I intend reordering. When growing up, the very late 60's offered navy blue alongside black and brown as the backbone for fashion styles. How fun navy plaid kilts were to wear; that large safety pin, just so awesome! I ordered dish towels as well. I lined an empty box with one dish towel, long ribbon tied a bow around this new home for these pot holders. I cut up a cereal box. 😊 Try it. Great little hot pads.
Perfect size to carry or set any small hot 0n. Nice looking and well padded.

Not Heat Resistant
They're thick and feel like they should keep the heat away from your hands, but they don't. I have to move quickly to get the glass lid off the baking dish as the heat travels fast through these. Would not recommend unless you just want something as a decoration.

Great potholders; my hands are happy
Very well-made. Substantial fabric in appealing patterns with an appropriately thick layer of padding. Good protection. Nicely quilted. If they were a little smaller — 7x7” instead of 7.5x8” — they would be perfect for my small hands, but they are much closer than most potholders I can find and I am using them gladly.

Only minor issue was that they really shrunk after washing. Ok for me bc I wanted them smaller! Great quality too.

Have needed "regular" old fashioned potholders for a long time and these fit the bill.

Perfect
Exactly what I wanted. Colors and material are great. Folds nicely to grab a hot pan but still keeps your hands protected. Will be buying another set in a different color. I got the blue which looks very nice in my kitchen
