Entertaining, educational and fun. Fabulous teaching aide
Best ABC &123 learning video ever. 1st purchased these as individual bus videos back in 1994 for my own son (now 25), he loved Postman Pat so learning with Pat was easy. Repetition of the alphabet and numbers. Son had learnt complete 1-10 and alphabet by time he was 18mths. Yes, the animation may now seem old fashioned and basic but it works! I purchased this dvd for my new grandchild, and am sure learning will be just as easy and tantrum free. This is an outstanding dvd. Not to be under rated. The stories are good, entertaining and educational. You can't go wrong with old fashioned learning even before going to nursery.

Postman Pat: Postman Pat's ABC and 123 Stories [DVD]
Bought as a xmas present, and enjoyed by the recipient. I was a bit upset that the £10.99 price paid dropped by half a few days later. I didn't read the description properly and did't realise it is "JUST ONE" dvd, and not a boxed set which based on the price I would of expeced.

Good quality and value.
I bought this for my 2 year old granddaughter as my own children loved postman pat when they were young. It arrived quickly and in excellent condition, however it will be more suitable for her when she is older and understands what the characters are saying.

Ok but there are better DVDs out there
Although, it is a cartoon and not your normal Postman Pat;the storyline is simple and effective at helping young children learn their letters and numbers. My two and half year old enjoys watching it but it can become a bit tedious for both of us after a while and I'd advise watching in a segment at a time.

Simple animation that my 20 month old loves
My 20 month old loves this DVD. As others have commented, the animation is simple, and the phonics are not perhaps the most wonderful. However, for a very young child, the animation is sufficient. In contrast, my son isn't interested in the super-duper Postman Pat Special Delivery Service - there's just too much going on for him. So, this is highly recommended if you have a very young child who isn't too media savvy.

Favourite Hero PAT shows practic life
That film had smoth music and child can know first letters and numbers. There are sections so child can watch for 10-15min. Not everything at the same time and repeat one section if you like. Recomended.

It's not what you're thinking
Just a note of caution to all parents hoping for a bargain as this appears so much cheaper than most Pat DVDs. This is NOT the Pat that you are used to, it's a drawn animation rather than the usual 3D characters. If your 2-yr-old is like mine then you'll be trying to cheer up a VERY disappointed child when the much hyped present gets it's first show.
