Bought this to reduce the voltage of a 24V conversion I did on my son's power wheels down to 12V for the LED lights I installed. Works perfectly and outputs a solid 12V depending on if the voltage in is 8V or 24V as advertised. Well built and solid design. Highly recommend for a wide variety of electronic projects!

There was so many choices for these step downs. I running mine for my bikes lighting system. The brand is bought before this one did not last very long. Ive been running this off of a 72V lifepo4 battery for quite a few months daily and through rain, heat and whatever nature throws at me. I've had no problems with it. Really easy to install and small enough to tuck away. I definitely recommend this particular brand.

This is exactly what I needed to provide my long run of 24 volt LED strips that are on the pontoon boat. I could have used 12 volts, but the 24 volts really gives that extra punch of brightness. I have used this for two boating season and have had no issues arise with the convertor.

This is used on a generator 60v golf cart output, with this dc to dc adapter into a 12v solar charge controller. charging lead acid batteries on a porch. no going through ac, utilizing existing 60v supply.

I have bought several of these, (4) to be exact. (2) for 12Vdc & (2) for 13.8Vdc. I bought one of each for spares and the others have been in my Adventure Van for several years. They do a great job at regulating my 14.2Vdc lithium batteries to the 12 & 13.8V that are needed for sensitive electronics such as a fridge & fan which have microprocessors within them and cannot handle slightly higher voltages. My MaxAir fan has an issue where if the voltage is over 12.8 volts, the small circuit board will go bad, due to a design flaw in the MaxAir fan. Using this 12Vdc converter has proven over 2 years to keep my MaxAir fan in check. My fridge will not operate higher than 13.8 without causing the sensitive computer electronics on board from being damaged, so I regulate the voltage with the 13.8V unit. Do not exceed the rated amperage of these units or they will most likely fail. As a rule of thumb, always be under the rated amperage for long life. They do get warm (Not Hot) if they draw close to the rated amperage, so keep them in open air where they can get adequate cooling.

Has an internal short that will either damage your power supply or trip power protection. Have tried two, both have the same issue. My power source is 20v 5amp well within the specs of this voltage regulator. The device I’m trying to power accepts 12-19v unfortunately 20v would trip its internal protection. I used a 12v 10amp regulator previously but unfortunately it would dip below 12v under high load and my device would shut down. Plugging this 13.8v regulator in without the load side even connected caused my power source to trip internal protection. Continuity testing showed a connection between positive and negative on both 13.8v regulators
