Have Dish - 3 units for 18 years. All have identical remotes so no big deal to use this one, probably same as OEM remote. Several suppliers on Amazon and purchased by price. Only use to turn TV & receiver on/off and channel change. Never use any other buttons except menu.

Replaced my broken dish network remote with this device and couldn't be more satisfied.

I have two TV's and both remotes went out at the same time. I changed batteries, but they still didn't work. I called my provider's tech department and they did do some trouble shooting that also didn't work. I was told the remotes I had were old and would not take new updates and I should buy new ones. That's what I did and everything is working as usual again.I will say I was a little surprised that my TV carrier didn't provide these to me and that I had to purchase them myself. BUT, thanks to Amazon it was easy

If you have more than one tv set on your Dish setup and your problem is with any tv other than the #1 tv, it won't work. I had two televisions on a dual system and needed a replacement for the #2 set. This did not work. The remote for the #2 set needed to be programed by Dish. I gave it 5 stars because it worked perfectly on my #1 set. I returned it for the correct remote. Make sure the number on the back of your current remote matches any replacement remote you want to purchase.
