What batteries does it take? the picture shows a triple, aaa cartridge but the technical specs says 6 aa? any idea what size rechargeable one fits?

18650 or 3 x AAA in the carrier (I think they have cut and pasted from a larger torch)

Can this torch be left in, and be immediately switched on at some later time, in strobe mode? (Without having to cycle through the 4 light modes)

it's off then each mode so you would have to turn it off before the strobe mode

Would it work with rechargeable 3.7v torch battery? like this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/4-pcs18650-rechargeable-li-ion-battery-flashlight/dp/b07ryc

I am using mine with a 18650 battery and it does say this on the product page both in the pictures ( power ) and the bottom section Characters: Lightweight and Pocket-Sized : 3.9oz, palm size only Multiple Batteries Choices supported environmental friendly 18650 rechargeable battery with hours of use. For temp use with 3 AAA alkaline batteries Tactical Press Button - one-handed operation, press for on/off, slight press to switch modes Anti-Roll and Versatile anti-slip by body ditches, can stand as camping lantern by flat bottom

If this flash light takes a 18650 battery how does it recharge?

It uses 3x AAA or 18650 if you choose to use 18650 you would need to buy battery and charger separately.
