May have caused hyperactivity in my 5 year old..?
So, I can't 100% recommend this vitamin but I can say a few things about it. I'm going to give it a 3 stars because I feel like it is both very good and very bad, and that it very much depends on the individual.1. The breakdown has some pretty good percentages to it. I chose this over my daughter's previous vitamin (Rainbow Light - Kids One). That vitamin wasn't bad but it wasn't "the best" and I was looking for the best of the best. This one was what I chose.2. The bottle did come with a child safety cap so that was good. I was worried it would not, but it did. Good thinking on the manufacturer's part.3. The price is really, really good and affordable for quality ingredients. I was very pleased with the pricing.4. My daughter did take this each and every morning, but complained every day that it was "gross". This doesn't mean a whole lot. She didn't refuse it. She just wanted to tell me that she did not prefer the taste. The vitamin she was on previously was often complained about as being "gross" by kids so, really, it's clearly a personal preference thing.5. My daughter developed some dark circles under her eyes. I'm not sure if this was just general tiredness though. She had not been sleeping well until this week after I've made multiple lifestyle changes for her. So, I can't say this vitamin caused "dark circles" or undereye bags or whatever you call them.6. This actually may have caused some extreme hyperactivity in my 5-almost-6 year old daughter. When I say extreme, I absolutely mean extreme and uncontrollable. My poor daughter.About 3 days into taking this it was obvious my daughter was going through some phase of hyperactivity. Initially I thought it may be a growth spurt of some sort. This issue continued to increase in severity for a couple of weeks until I literally broke down sobbing one day due to the situation wearing me down. I felt like my child went from a sweet, kind-hearted girl to someone very cold, mean, and angry for no reason. She had difficulty minding rules that have always existed in our household, suddenly could not sit still even for the "best" rewards offered, and intentionally acted in ways that she acknowledged were hurtful to others (while laughing, which was so out of character for her).Out of desperation of the situation I made multiple lifestyle changes for her, which included removing this new vitamin from her dietary intake. We've seen a massive improvement within the first couple of days, and the hyperactivity seems to have passed. In addition to removing this vitamin from her daily routine I also:- Reduced cow's milk intake by beginning to replace it with cashew milk in case there is a milk sensitivity going on. She has never had this occur before but I know of children who have cow's milk sensitivities and act out when given dairy. It feels like a positive change to make anyway.Prior to this change, she ONLY drank cow's milk or water (refuses all juices and is not given sugary drinks like soda) so the change in itself could be very important for long-term health. We are still working on completely removing cow's milk and replacing it entirely with cashew milk but it's a process since she isn't a fan of different drink flavors.- Incorporated a non-drowsy allergy medication (Children's Zyrtec) since it is warming up here and becoming more springtime. She had some sneezing and randomly snotty nose here and there so it was worth the addition anyway. I've given the lowest dose listed and only once a day so it hasn't been a big, big, big change.- Changed her breakfast from 1 banana and 2 small apples to 2 bananas and a piece of toast. It seems to keep her satiated longer and we give apples for snacks periodically throughout the day anyway. Perhaps there were too many fruit sugars being throw into her system immediately in the morning.- Added in 1 more small snack between morning breakfast and lunchtime and 1 more small evening snack. She had snacks already but I felt like maybe she needed some more food if this is actually tied to some sort of growth spurt. Sometimes she does eat the additional snacks and sometimes she doesn't, but I feel like offering them has been a good choice.- Stopped waking her up to have her get int her bed if she fell asleep in her rocking chair. She has a cushioned rocking chair in her room that she often rocks herself to sleep in. For her entire life we've woken her up and moved her to her bed if she's fallen asleep in her rocking chair, but I felt like her undereye circles could possibly be linked her to not getting as restful of sleep. We stopped waking her up to move her to her bed and just let her sleep in the chair right now if that's what is most comfortable for her. Now, it's important to know that my child is NOT a normal, typical child. She does not have ADHD or such but she has been slightly developmentally delayed with communication. I'm in no way saying that what has happened with my daughter is typical for this vitamin. I am only saying that perhaps some, probably a small percentage of, children will react negatively to something in this vitamin. Does that mean the vitamin is bad? Absolutely not. It just means that maybe for some people it is just not right. We will be transitioning back to the Rainbow Light - Kids One multivitamin soon and will take things from there.

Best vitamins for a child
Absolute BEST vitamins I’ve brought for my child. My son was even sick for 2 weeks (3 weeks following taking these vitamins) & not 1 day did his temperature increase to a high fever or energy decreased due to him not feeling well as it always has in the past. I strongly feel these vitamins played a very strong role in keeping his health at a decent median while he was sick. I am very grateful I tried these. I just wish it was a bit more Iron supplement in them. My son loves them & reminds me daily that he needs his vitamins. Best Buy I’ve made for his health!

Kiddos didn't like
Kiddos did NOT like. They much prefer gummies I guess, but they suffered through and finished the bottle, just not without grumbling. Ha!
