This book is indescribably beautiful. The text and poems are inspirational and the artwork is charming. It is truly a treasure and I am fortunate to have it my possession for now, but I will definitely be passing it on to someone I love in the future; it is an heirloom. Thank you Ms. Holder. 🙏❤️

Edith's book is unique. Is there anyone today who has the time and commitment to observe the natural world around us, record it in drawings and paintings, and then process the impact of the experience with poetry and reflections? The illustrations of nature are pretty well executed and the poetry is an acceptable montage from commonly studied poets, but what makes this book unique is the personal expression of the author. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts.Perhaps there were other romantic authors of the Edwardian or other earlier eras who studied and reflected on the progression of the seasons around them, but little is in print. I was moved by Edith's care in execution which was solely done for her own benefit, but expressed conscientiously with feeling.

My wife really enjoyed The Gilded Age tv series. She also loves bird watching at our feeder. This seemed like a perfect fusion of two of her favorite things. And she loves it. Looking forward to ordering the original book when she finishes this one.

This book arrived in decent condition and sooner than expected date.It is beautiful. I love Edith Holden she was a talented illustrator and observationalist. She touched on many things. When reasonable priced pick it up. It sells $3 at thrift shops but Amazon has inflated pricing.Wonderful for crafting, journaling, framing pages as well.

La verdad, que todo un descubrimiento. Hubo al principio un pequeño problema con el envío, pero el vendedor estuvo disponible siempre y hubo buena comunicación y a la segunda conseguí el libro. Muy contenta.
