Pimpernel Olive & Figs Coasters - Set of 6

I bought these to match the placemats I purchased a little while back. Both the coasters and the placemats have a shinier surface than those I've had in the past, and I have a feeling it is not as hard-wearing, as the placemats have quite a few scratches after a short time in use. Also, I thought the matt surface looked better. However, they do look very nice, and have lovely designs - time will tell how long-lasting they are.

These look lovely, but with occasional spills of anything containing oil, they are ruined as they soak it up and leave a permanent mark . Disappointing

These are excellent quality. I had my last Pimpernel coasters and mats for 11 years. My over zealous grandson cleaned them with an abrasive unfortunately so they had to be replaced. Not the cheapest on the market but quality definitely shines through. I had purchased a set of 4 large mats of an inferior (cheaper) quality and this made my mind up to replace them with Pimpernel again. Pots straight from the oven do not burn the table beneath them unlike the cheaper ones.

Pimpernel is way the best placemat brand really - these are really lovely and the last lot I had lasted well over 10 years! Fig and Olive images are rustic and charming and look lovely on oak table.
