Tide Pools: An Augmented Reality Book

Whoa!!! This is the coolest book ever! I’ve never seen anything like this before. The app makes it look like the pages are truly alive with real tide pool scenes. And the app is free! What an amazing way to experience the tide pools and learn how tides actually work. The sounds make me feel like I’m really there at the ocean. And the narration in the app is a great added bonus. I’ve had the book for 3 days now and my daughter asks for it every night.  Last night I discovered the flashlight button in the app and we were able to read the book and see the augmented reality in the dark. Truly a magical experience! It looks like the future of books is here and I’m thankful that my daughter gets to experience it as if it was perfectly normal. BTW, once the app is installed, is it very easy and intuitive for kids to use.

This book is beyond cool! I cannot wait to give it to my grandson. Easy app download on Galaxy. Bright, vibrant colors and fuul, crazy motions. Like being at an aquarium! I will look for more books, although probably not through Amazon. See note below.Note to seller: The packaging sucked. It was sent in an Amazon bubble mailer which has no rigidity. It was bent to fit in my mailbox, which means the book is now bent. Still great action, but it is distracting to have to try to flatten it out.

Great book but pricey. Love augmented reality books just wish they were more reasonable.

We gave this to our granddaughter on her 4th birthday after a friend recommended it. We haven't heard if she is enjoying it, but I will say, that our daughter in law LOVED it, and was looking for more like it almost immediately after the book was unwrapped. I hope the 4 year old likes it as much as her mother!

The media could not be loaded.  I don't know how this is done, but this is a pretty cool book!! I am reading and hearing and seeing the ocean at the same time! You can see sea life moving!! Get close up, move out! The tide rolls in! This book will give a new experience to kids who may never see the ocean until they are adults! It will make them dream of wanting to go see and hear the ocean. I hope it motivates and inspires kids (and adults) to explore this planet we live on more! I can't wait too see more books like this!

Mom and I loved to explore tide pools on vacations, so when I saw this, I knew she'd love it. Gave it to her, she started paging through it and thought it was interesting. THEN, I held my phone over the pages and she was like a little kid! It is utterly amazing how cool it is to see the creatures move in your phone. She loves it.

Never seen anything like this. This book is totally aligned with today’s‘interactive’ world. Essentially it gives you great info on tide pools, awesome pictures, and videos with sound that transport you to each location. It’s one of those things you have to experience to fully appreciate. Brilliant!My kids love it. My 8 year old said “why don’t we have this at school.” Not a bad idea given how much better we learn with visuals and interactives experiences these days. Hope this gets in the hands of educators out there. Do yourself a favor and try it out!

You can hear the sounds of the waves as you see the tide pool creatures actually moving on the pages.  Truly a unique experience and the first time I’ve ever seen anything like this. The pages jump right out and you dive right in. So excited I found such a revolutionary product. My 7yr old niece absolutely loves it and was eager to keep reading and learning. Everyone I've shown it to was blown away. They need to make more of these! You can’t beat the price considering you get the app and all the video for free.
