KidKraft Treasure Cove Wooden Swing Set

We just got this swing set for our kids birthdays. We were disappointed with the shipping. It said it would be delivered by the end of June, and the slides were delivered and nothing else. It said the whole playset was delivered on here. I messaged the company, and they said the 2nd box was on its way. A week later, still no playset. I messaged the company again and they dug into it and somehow there was a “mis communication” and the playset never got delivered. Anyway, the customer service was great and the playset came... just 2 weeks after it said it would be.The playhouse was quite easy to build (and we haven’t really built anything before). It said it would take 10-16 hours. It took us about 7 to build everything (besides the roof). We did the roof a different day and that took about an hour. Directions are easy to follow and everything is labeled well. A few things were pre drilled .. and it didn’t line up. So we had to either re drill a new hole or line it up so it wasn’t flush. But it worked out in the end. Very nice looking playset. Very sturdy.The bottom “house” is quite short. Was expecting it to be a bit taller. Our son is “40”, and he has to bend way over to get in the door. He can stand up once he’s in there, but just a bit smaller than we thought it would be.

I bought this for my grandchildren. When I started unpacking the parts I was concerned about the sturdiness due to the parts being so light. However, once it was put together, I realized that it was still very sturdy. Everything was pre-drilled, all of the bolts, screws and nuts were individually packaged and well marked making it very easy to find what was needed. My grandchildren are going to get many years of fun from this play place.The only complaint that I have is not with the product itself, but in the shipper. I was given a delivery date and when it didn't arrive was informed that it would be another week. This happened at least 2 more times. Fortunately this was not something that I needed by a certain date. Then, the slides were not delivered with the rest of the parts. I realize this could have been a carrier mistake; however, it took a few phone calls and several weeks to get another delivery which ended up being only one slide. It took another 3-4 phone calls to get the second slide.

Do not buy. The wood has so many nots in it you cant get the cheap screws into it. If you do buy, be prepared to go out and buy other wood to make it work. It is sturdy. It says 10 to 12 hours to put together. If your wood has as many nots as ours it will take 16 since you have to go out to get different wood every hour. Since the screws were cheap you will have to hand screw a lot. Also you will need a level, a square tool. There are a lot of tools that most house holds dont have.

The playground looks great and my kids love it. A few of the pieces of wood were peeling but other than that the instructions and assembly were good. Delivery was delayed one day as well.

This was a labor of love but my kids have had so much fun on this swing set! Very good quality and nice for kid’s to grow into as it’s very large. Would recommend to anyone!
