Does not have an XLR Connector
The description says XLR, there is no connector, its just a cable with 4 wires and a shield wire.

Wire instructions poor but good mic
Bought this to use with a PA amplifier for a school project. Although the instructions are written well, I probably don't understand XLR and wiring this microphone in. After about 45 min trying the wire options on the instructions I finally just tried red and black to XLR pins 1 and 2, that worked. I wish they offered better wiring options in their instructions.

Works perfectly
This worked perfectly with about 40 feet of sheilded cable to a valcom microphone adapter.It is very clear and I have had no issues with it in 3 months.

disappointed
Very disappointed in Astatic. For from the D104 type mics they use to make. You shouldn't have to put your mouth right up to a desk mic. Do not buy this mic.

Great Mic Easy to use
I use this mic a long side a Anytone 6666 and it sounds amazing. The only thing that could be improved is the "Lock" key gets pressed by accident at times and it should not be so close to the main button.

Salon PA system
It is holding up very well - as it gets used rather roughly, 7 days a week, by receptionists at a very busy hair salon. I already got a back-up for when they break it, I mean when it wears out. Better than the Radio Shack mics I replaced every several months and has good sound clarity.update... 3/10/14 The most recent mic was dead-out-of-the-box.update 9/29/15 Second one with wrong conections, incompatible, trash. This is not a reliable product or seller. Paid much more for Bogen name brand replacement, but it works.

Stripped and tined cable.
This looks like fantastic stand mic, and reviews are great, never used it, but sounds like it is professional equipment. One thing they don't show you on the pictures is that this mic does not have USB cable, or 3.5mm jack, it is Stripped and tined cable, if you are someone like me, who does not look at the description, product detail be careful.
