So far so good!
I first ordered the OEM Ford phasers. While installing the Ford part to specifications, the Ford Phaser broke. I suspect it was a counterfeit. I ordered the Dorman as a replacement. The packaging was nice, especially compared to the Ford parts. Installation went exactly as it should have with no issues. So far, the truck is running great and product is working as it should.Time will tell but I have no complaints, it seams Dorman is really pushing to make a quality part at a much more competitive price.

No problems after 4000 miles
I was skeptical about buying these until I did some research on the Construction of the Upgraded Design and went with these instead of locking out the original phasers. I feel confident these will get another 225,000 miles out of My 2007 Ford Explorer XLT Ironman Edition 4.6 L 3v V8I followed along with FordMakuloco on YouTube.Valuable info on this Design Flaw.

Great product
So far so good. It fixed my rough acceleration problem. My 2005 expedition would hesitate when accelerating. Now it's smooth when I hit the throttle. I heard alot of bad stuff about the cheaper Dorman camshaft phasers but this one works great and is alot cheaper than the ford one.

Perfect fit and NO MORE TICKING!!!!!!!---- FAILED, UPDATED!!!!!
Perfect fit and NO MORE TICKING! I purchased my 2004 F150 FX4 from someone with 30,000 miles on it from the original owner who said that it had the tick when it was new off the lot and service said that was how they were designed and there was no way to fix it. I drove it to 158k before the ticking got to the point that it was unbearable as well as a failed timing tensioner and a resulting timing chain slapping the engine.Replaced the Cam phasers with these XD versions as well as all of the timing chains and guides and tensioners. What an amazing difference. The guy I bought it from said it didn't sound that smooth the day he took it off the lot with no miles. Very happy with these so far, have about 3000 miles on them.Update August 2019:Downgraded these phasers to 1 star. After having the oil pump in the truck start to get weak I pulled the front cover off the engine and replaced it with a high flow version. After putting the truck back together it ran very rough at idle and threw multiple timing errors. I assumed I had timing out of place so I redid timing again and double checked it. Found both phasers were not locking in place at idle. In the process of changing to Ford OEM phasers. Save yourself the hassle and spend the extra $100 on each phaser and purchase the correct ford ones like I should have a couple years ago. BTW, these phasers have less than 10,000 miles on them.
