Brand Chess Set Zagreb Style Ebonized Wood Chess Pieces - 3.9" King Height

I love these chess pieces! For the price, these are incredible. I’ve included a picture on a chess board with 2” squares, which works great, but I wouldn’t go smaller than that for these pieces.

Thrilled. Some small issues. Two of the black pawns are cracked and some blemishes in the white pieces.

Some do come scratched or with a lil bit of the wrong paint on them but nothing that bothers me, the bottom also is slightly falling on some pieces. Though nothing you can't fix yourself, for 70$ I can't complain at all.

They are a bit thin and so not an exact match but it kind of makes them distinct but not a bad set especially for the price.

The pieces are very nice, although not correctly weighted as you would assume about Zagreb style pieces. The Knights are a bit thin, but still nice and actulally okay to grab and make a move. They came with a bag that has a bit of a funky string, but at least there‘s a bag, right? - If you are living in the US, it might be okay to order them without having to pay enourmous amounts of custom fees. In Europe however, it is quite possible that you are ‘invited‘ to pay (as in my case) more than 70% of the retail price. Yes, amazing, isn‘t it beautiful how governments truly care about us? How they invent all kinds of rules and regulations in order to protect us from buying chess pieces without paying 70% import fees? I think we should be proud of them. Thank you customs bureau, thank you so much. - The moral of the story: If you wanna order Zagreb style pieces, go to chessbazaar.

These are some of the most beautiful pieces I have ever seen. They're well crafted and weigh the perfect amount. Feels good to play and came in better than expected. Highly recommend
