Barrington Stoke Acorn Readers: SEN Reading Age 6 Primary Pack (Barrington Stoke Acorns)

These books were really great for helping a 9-year-old child with a very low reading age. The stories are fun and engaging (a couple of them even had us laughing out loud!) and some are written by well-known children's authors. These are proper stories with issues and themes to discuss and good vocabulary. However, they are very pricey. I see the price tends to vary quite a lot, but I payed nearly £30. You get eight small books for this. I still gave them 5 stars, though, as they have made such a huge difference to a child's enjoyment and skill in reading.
