This shock is listed as a replacement for my 1959 Rambler Super but it is not an exact replacement. The rubber base grommets diameter is too big and the width of the grommet is too narrow. I fixed this by inserting a small length of brass tubing into the grommet and using 2 stainless steel washers on the sides of the grommet. This improved the fit. Also unlike the original, these are spring loaded so they need to be restrained at the right length when installing. I used heavy duty tie wraps adjusted to the right length.

They are shocks and work fine. One of the two that I recieved did not come with the correct hardware kit, so I had to use the old hardware. They are still much better than failed shocks.

The shocks were wrong for the car that I wanted for them to fit.

Easy to install in my 1990 Trooper. Made a huge improvement. Even if these only last a year or two the price was worth it.

I thought I was ordering a set of rear shock/struts for my 1997 Nissan Maxima. I put the vehicle description into the Amazon website when I was ordering and believed your website said that it was a direct fit for my car. Unfortunately the parts don't fit. What can I do? Sorry for the late reply but didn't know they would not fit until I got around to installing the parts.
