HO Ground Throw w/5 End Fittings Sprung 5 CAB5218S HO Track

I don't understand the negative reviews that have been posted here for this HO Scale Ground Throw. It's a kit, and it takes a bit of experience to assemble it, but if you can't dot this, you probably shouldn't be in model railroading. These devices work very well in moving the points on my HO switches when installation directions are followed. (I am making my own turnouts using FastTrack jigs.)There are an inexpensive and prototype-correct way to throw turnout points, much less costly than motorized switch machines. But you do have to be able to reach these with your hand; they should not be installed more than about 30 inches from the edge of the layout.

Caboose industries is the standard.

I picked these up to begin converting from Atlas standard manual switch machines to these. They look a lot more accurate, even if they're out-of-scale (too big). I'm using them with N scale standard line Atlas code 80 #4 turnouts and they work great. The turnouts are much more reliable than with the factory manual switch machines. I'll definitely be buying more to finish converting over.

I have been using these for decades on my HO layout and they have stood the test of time ...plus they look good. Careful mounting will insure you trouble free switching by hand.

Works very well. Some slight modifications are sometimes needed. But they work very well.

Looks like a great product, I won't be able to use them in my freight yard as they require more room then I have between tracks and turnouts.

Very easy to assemble, realistic. Added realism to my layout. They hold the switch tightly in both posistions Great value for the price.
