Pilot Automotive CG-923 Universal Rooftop Bar Rack, Cargo Management for Light Loads

I have a truck with a ladder rack over the bed. I ordered this for when I am transporting my canoe because it sticks way over the cab. The bar itself is ok. The straps and clips that close into the door seem cheap. I followed the instructions and closed the clips in the door. It did not seem secure in my vehicle. With some adaptations, I’ll make it work.

What ya get for the money.

The straps are not good quality they absorb water from the outside of the car than soaks it into the straps inside the car & drips all over the place. Also the buckles rust quickly.Good thing I have waterproof seat covers because I had 4 pools of water in my car after just a couple hours of normal rain.I do like the racks themselves but you will want to invest in your own straps & buckles.

I have been searching for years to find a replacement roof rack bars that I once purchased from Napa many years ago. I have seen many other kinds out there but they were not what I had wanted. I came across these by luck and I am more than happy I did. These are they same ones I had years ago that I had put to use for many things and have never failed me. They hook easily and securely to the roof on the inside of the doors Where they still open and close. I have used to to haul lumber cargo and even hauled a 6 foot pool tabke on it. If you need a set of racks I highly recommend these ones over the others. Very sturdy and adjustable for many vehicles. I would not hesitate to buy another set.

Clips not angled so ever with the tape they come off. I didnt even have anything on it and it came half way off going down the highway :/ I had to buy new clips for it elsewhere before I lost my yaks.

this is very bad products, i see a lot of bad review for this products.I need resend the missing the parts or Ill return this products!!!

Looked ok until I installed it. Major problem is the metal buckles. They're made out of tin so weak you can bend them with your fingers. As a result, they just won't hold the tension. The straps are also poor quality. Finally, the round shape of the bars makes them useless for a J shaped kayak rack. Would be much better square.The vendor was very quick to refund me after I explained the problem. Good business but I really don't recommend that product.

I can't install the rack because there's a rubber pad missing. The box was previously opened. It was re-taped with gray tape. One of the bar was not in the plastic which make me think it was used before. I ordered brand new. I'm really mad and disappointed.
