This valance has a lovely mix of soft colors that go perfectly in my newly remodeled family room. It hangs perfectly, too. I wish it was a little heavier, but it does what I wanted in a pinch!

I really really LOVE these curtains. I'm becoming frustrated though because this will be the THIRD pair I'm returning. I'm now wishing I had kept the first pair because at least they were cut and measured precisely, overall sewn neatly in a careful, straight line, just the corners weren't sewn to the very end and were loose. I was afraid they'd unravel when washed. I should've just stitched them up myself, but I didn't have time.Second pair had their own issues, one being there was some extra fabric along the edge that, when laid flat, created sort of an inward pleat along the edge. Again, ends weren't nicely secured.This third pair has some exceptionally sloppy sewing. The worse yet. Seams at the ends that don't even line up. One valence is longer than the other. Ends not secured. As you can see from the pictures, they were measured and cut sloppily. Parallel lines of stitching. I guess the bobbin ran out thread, but this still could have been sewn neatly. Also, it appears as if each of the stitches is longer than those on the other valences I received and returned. Can be sewn faster with longer stitching, I guess? I liked the shorter, tighter stitches of the others. UPS must be tiring of picking up my returns.I'm going to keep trying though, hoping I'll find a conscientious sewer somewhere in China that isn't in such of a hurry.These are sort of a 'greige' in color, as another reviewer stated. Depending on the lighting, they can look more grey, more beige, or even a taupe with a purplish hue. Pretty surprising and cool.You WILL need 2 panels for a 45" sill to sill window if you prefer that bunched look and want some room-darkening with less glare from the sun even though these ARE lined with a white backing, but this doubles the cost. Two valances for one standard window? Just make them longer.Fabric is substantial and probably will wash well in a mesh bag. I wish they weren't polyester, but they're pretty enough that I will keep ordering until I get a satisfactory pair.I wish they made these in a 63" or 72" rod pocket, but their 63" is a tie-up shade. If you want to have them hang as panels, the ties will hang well below the sill. I'm also not fond of grommet curtains, their 84". I did order them though, but still need to look at the workmanship there. Hoping I'll have some luck. Wish these were made in the USA. Or even India. I'd be having better luck. So if you're not in a hurry to hang valances and can wait for replacements or just don't care too much about workmanship, I would recommend. Or if you're like me and love the dainty pattern, purchase and hold your breath each time. (See pics taken in a shady room.)

This balance is well made and has some thickness. Color fits perfectly in my room decor.

Material is soft and color are what I needed for a bathroom valance. Went perfect on my window.

Picture looks like there are background stripes of several neutral gray shades. Actually has no background shading. Very disappointing.

We had ugly and dark red, green and gold plaid valances left by the previous homeowners. They had never been taken down and washed, either. I put these up and they immediately brightened up the entire kitchen and just felt better. The colors shown in the picture are spot on. Now I'd painting could be this easy..
