Best tape I've ever used for working with metal ducting. Sticks very well and leaves a very solid joint. A little tricky to work with, but after a couple tries I got the hang of it. The trick is to leave the backing on and remove it slowly while applying it. I just ordered a second roll.

This product is thinner than some other types of aluminium tapes made for sealing things water tight but this works great! If the surfaces are clean and smooth it sticks really well and for a very long time. I made a box out of glass panels and this tape to enclose my wireless router, it lives outside and after years in the rain and sun it is still water tight. I also use it for a replaceable cheep grounding strip my my electronics work bench. This tape also works well as a radio frequency shield though you have to bond the layers electrically. The only draw back to this tape over "duct tape" is that it will tare very easily once a tare is started laying an additional piece in the opposite direction helps with this. Wallets made with this stuff tend to have sharp edges.

I moved into a place with a pellet stove that had been installed by the previous owner. Using it didn't make the room smokey, but there was an un-nerving wood-burning smell when the stove was on. As it was winter, the chimney sweep companies in my areas were booked up with appointments well into spring. I decided to take a crack at fixing any possible leaks myself and this seemed like a reasonable option.I am no tape enthusiast but this stuff sticks reasonably well to the pipe on the back of my pellet stove. Better yet, the several carbon monoxide detectors haven't noticed a problem either and the smoke smell has improved dramatically.

not just for aluminum ducts. i use for many crafts. strong yet pliable and pretty permanent as well. does a nice neat job. not removable so you need to place correctly.
