The pieces were placed in individual small ziplocks, which prevented them from scratching. They snap in together well, and they hold strongly. They are a bit difficult to re-open, but I was able to do so by insertting a box cutter blade between the two pieces.They make a great housing for our new PingTags for keychains, bags and dog tags.

Loved the keychains, they were a good enough size for what I needed. Would have given higher stars, however as some have previously stated in their reviews, about 1/5 of the keychains I ordered came already snapped closed! Seller could not help other than to tell me to find something to try to reopen them. (Sigh...thanks a lot) Using the tip of a tweezer, I was able to eventually open them with much time and hassle and risk of jabbing or injuring myself or scratching the face of the keychain. I hope the seller will convey this repeated complaint to whoever is packaging their product. I'm sure that will increase their star rating.

Bought these for a project for my niece's preschool class. Made little medallions with their names, a dolphin (class mascot) and a sun. Will add colored cording for a neck strap, or they can attach it to their school bags. Since the clear disc that holds the picture in the frame is removable, the picture can be changed and the kids can use it as a key chain when they're older. The size is perfect - not too big to be bulky - even for adults.

My wife made party favors out of these and she loved them. She said they were easy to use and that she would buy them again. I have one of the favors and it's nice. It's a little thinner than keychains you'd buy in a store but overall a good product.

Functions as intended, cover stays in place after closing. Key chain and key chain tab hold up to normal abuse so far. Hey, it's a photo keychain, what more can you ask of it.

These look exactly as I expected. But I cannot open to insert my picture! I have tried a knife that has a pretty thin blade. it is knicking the edge of the insert, but I cannot pop it out. The rectangle shaped ones I also bought was packaged with the insert loose and separate, so it was a breeze to snap together. This is frustrating! Help! If there is an easy way to open, I will change my rating. But for now, needs to be one star :(
