Great product
Works well, the ink flows just right. Not too much or too little. Perfect for precision cover up. Very smooth and appearance is good.

Great quality
Amazing! Went on smoothly, dried quickly, holding up great. I bought a pair of Nike shoes from Goodwill. I do this often to use as work shoes since I don’t like to pay full price for work sneakers when I will then just step in a patient’s bodily fluids in them. While washing these five dollar second hand shoes, imagine my surprise when as I scrubbed, my hands turned black because the previous owner had colored the sides of the white soles with a black marker. I had no idea until they were submerged in water. I tried unsuccessfully to fill in the missing black smeared parts with sharpie until googling to find this product. I thought this was going to be a DIY disaster, but this marker went on smoothly to color in the sides of the soles. They look exactly like they did when I bought them. It looks like the soles were black to begin with. I got so excited that I went through all of my other running shoes to see if any of them needed a black trim touchup. The stuff goes on like a dream and is pretty fool proof. Even for me.

Midsole Marker
Works really well as an umpire my equipment (mask, shoes, etc) has to be all black for NCAA softball. So I have to black out emblems. Ink flow was great not messy, not too much or too little. Simple and easy to use covered all the emblems without overflow. Dryed fairly quickly was nice also. I'd say within 45 minutes totally dry.

Works very well.
I used this to black out the white foam midsoles on some black Asics that I were dirty but still had some kid in them. The red clay from the baseball fields stained the midsoles and wouldn’t come out. Solution was to blackout the foam. This worked like a charm. Shoes look good as new. Application is pretty much what you’d expect. Imagine a paint marker but thinner consistency. Wasn’t very messy and dried in a reasonable amount of time without stickiness or anything like that. I did have to do a couple coats because I’m blacking out white and optics yellow foam and plastic.

Worked perfect!
Worked perfect! I had a black hair dye stain on my white leather shoe. I applied Wilkins Premium Midsole Marker as directed and stain is gone. Good as new.

Works good on some surfaces, not so good on others.
Ordered these markers a couple of times. I've used them on fabric, leather, plastic and rubber midsoles. On fabric leather and plastic, they seem to hold up ok. For plastic, make sure you clean the surface well and maybe add 2-3 coats and you should be good. Rubber midsoles...now here's where it gets interesting. I used the marker on a pair of Jordan Tatum 4s, and the look turned out rather nice. I wiped down the areas with alcohol and I assumed the surface was dry enough, so I applied the marker. After just 8 hours of wear (no sports, just walking around), there were crack lines showing the color underneath the black coat. The crack lines were right where the foam/rubber was compressing. I've since cleaned the cracked lines with alcohol, so I'll repeat that process and then reapply the marker and see how it holds up to use. I may have to resort to a coating of dye first and then this marker to make things more aesthetically pleasing. I also have a pair of Adidas NMDs that I may try this on as well. Regardless, I will come back and update this review as necessary. If there was a 2.5 I would have given it, but I'll be a little generous and give it a 3 for now.

Very happy with it!
I have tried 2 other "shoe markers". One looked like I used sharpie, the other scraped off with the slightest touch. Both came off easily with rubbing alcohol and a toothbrush. This product only took 2 coats. Probably could have gotten away with one but I'm a nut. Here is what I see so far: Application- coated very thick and more like a stain or dye than paint. Dried fairly quickly but waited 24 hrs before touching it. The look. Very impressive. From a distance you can't tell it isn't actually black rubber. In most light the sheen is an exact match. At some angles it is a bit more glossy. Other- Have not yet worn them to test durability, but my initial finger nail scratch test passed with flying colors. The first 2 products I tried marked up instantly. This seems to be much more durable.

DOESNT WORK
Doesn’t work. Pressed the pen on my shoes and nothing was coming out. I tried shaking it and thats when the part seperated. Ink/paint splashed all over my pants and floor. WASTE!

Back to new!!
I’d tried washing my favorite Lacoste sneakers, I then tried anti-oxidants but nothing worked to de-taint the yellow aging midsoles. Until this wonderful white marker made it so simple to restore my middle aged loafers to their youthful prime. Just mask the upper, press the nib and a few coats later, well take a look!! The bottom is the old colour, the sides are the brand spanking new. And the pen should be good for two more pairs. Job done!
