Haidilao Hot Pot Spicy Sauce, Sichuan spicy hot pot, Chongqing spicy hot pot-海底捞麻辣清油火锅底料 (Hot Pot Condiment, 1 Pack)

I used this for DIY hot pot night with my boyfriend. I mixed a little with a different soup flavor because my boyfriend can't handle spice, but I did not want a dull flavor. Even after adding a small amount it was still pretty flavorful! This isn't bad though because I still found it delicious, but my boyfriend couldn't really eat it.

This Sichuan sauce is so delicious! It's super spicey (even with added water) but I personally like that. The aroma is so good. I like how it makes my house smell using this sauce. I used it as a dipping sauce as well because it does get very spicy. You can also just put a little bit of this sauce with water or broth. I didn't have broth at the time and just used water. I didn't water it down as much as I should have so my broth was super spicy and worked better as a dipping sauce but next time I'll definitely add more water or broth. Overall, this is an excellent product. I will be buying it in the future.

This is the most authentic tasting hot pot base I've had outside of Taiwan. Good mala spice flavor.

Bought three difrrent flavors of the same brand. Loved all the others. This one had a nice spice but has a very odd icky taste to it.

This was incredibly spicy for us ^^;, well it did taste good though, just so much of the pepper gets in the way when scooping for some soup or food which may have sunk tho, so after boiling awhile I suggest filtering those out for ease of eating.

Love this hot pot mix. Not too salty and just right. Taste just like the restaurant one

I don’t quite understand why there are so many negative views here cuz as someone who was born and grew up in Sichuan Province,I can say this is my hometown taste for sure! My bf and I have tried different brands of sauce and went to so many hotpot restaurants while we travel in the US, and we always come back to Haidilao’s soup base - bc it’s perfectly numb and spicy!

DELICIOUS!!! I had hotpot often in S Korea and I LOVE the spicy, Sichuan broth the most, so when I decided to host my own hotpot I knew I had to get it. I have a really high spice tolerance so this was delicious and a little warm, but my roommate had trouble with it. We ended up watering it down a little more than instructed and added some extra spice (a couple more star anise pods) but the base was nothing but perfect.
