Deluxe PADDED DJEMBE Latin Drum Carry Case Gig BAG - BLACK percussion gear New

I bought the Meini Dfembe 10 inch medium mahogany drum ( I am very happy with the quality of the drum) I figured it would just about fit into this case but it swims inside the cover. I like the material I believe it will hold up very well. They use the same type of stitching as used on quality mattress handles (not the cheap rope type that pulls out) The cons is it is way too big for my drum. I had to add styrofoam to the bottom of the case. This way the drum fits better. I can also have enough space to put a towel on the top of the drum to add an extra cushion to the top of the case. I also use that small towel to cover the drum if I have to leave the drum in the direct sun outdoors for a short time. The case measures 24 inches from floor to top of the case.

It wasn't black, in fact, no black on it. It was beige and i think will float. In times of rain, keeps your hair dry.

Nicely made bag, good padding, I give it 4 stars for how it's made. However when I took it out of the box, there's a horrific plastic odor. It was raining outside so I hung it in the garage to air out. Within a couple of hours, my entire garage smelled like that plastic odor. I just got it today and I'm sending it right back, I'm not even going to bother with it. Too bad for that, it's actually a really nice bag. The company who makes it definitely needs to do something about that odor.

OK, this was a cheap bag so I took a chance. Well, it did not work and I lost. The quality of the bag is fine, however; there is very little padding in the bag and the bag is actually not as Big as stated on the dimensions. I could not fit my standard 12 inch DJEMBE into this bag. First, it was too narrow on the body and second, it was also too narrow at the foot of the drum. I had to use a smaller drum to make it fit. It fits well with an 11.5 x 22 drum. It is a little long, and a touch wide at the top but it fits the body of the drum. To all those who have reviewed this bag, there is no way that this bag will fit a standard 13 inch DJEMBE. It is kind of a weird size. They either need to make it for a 12 inch drum, or widen The bottom and body so that it will fit a 13 inch drum. If you just want a cheap sack, this is a good one for you. LOL does not fit the dimensions which are provided.

Great bag! Except the smell from waterproofing chemicals .. I washed it in the machine on gentle cycle, hung it to dry, smell mostly gone after it dried out. Love the bag once the smell was gone. (If you wash it be cautious, not all machines are the same... maybe hand washing would be safer to not tear it)

I am a beginner djembe drummer. I purchased this bag for my new drum because of the price. When I received it, I was surprised at how nice it is. It's not fancy, but it fits my drum and makes it easier to carry There is one small exterior pocket that I'm not sure what its function is.

I bought this bag to protect a Meinl 12" Travel Series Djembe, and it is a perfect fit for the drum. The padding on the sides is sufficient for most people's uses, and will protect the drum's sides and bearing edge from all but the hardest bumps and bangs.If you regularly gig with a djembe, I might consider a heavier duty bag, but for most percussionists this will be more than adequate. The bag has a small pocket (with velcro at the top), a side handle and an unpadded nylon web shoulder strap. The shoulder strap might be uncomfortable if you carry a heavier drum, but for the lightweight drum I own it will not be a problem.
