WiFi Power Strip, Hyleton Surge Protector Smart Power Strip with Timing Function Compatible with Alexa & Google Home (330MM)

A bit of false advertising in the text. It states the 4 electric sockets can be "controlled independently". This is only true if you use the SmartLife app. I bought this to use with Alexa, thinking each sockrlet would be controlled, but Alexa only recognize it as one device, and turns them all on or off. Kind of useless if you have several devices to control at different times.

Hyleton Surge Protector Smart Power Strip is very good. The only thing I don't like is the socket dust protection. They are not the manual slide covers found on other power strips. They work fine for grounded plugs, but not for the 2 conductor polarized plugs.I had to insert a small phillips screwdriver into the ground lug hole to open the slots in order for me to insert the polarized cords. Maybe they will loosen after many uses, but I plan on keeping the cords plugged in and will never know. It also took 2 attempts to connect to the smart life App. Even the second time it said it failed, but Alexa popped up a message about the the smart strip so I knew it was successful. I was only able to turn the entire strip on and off with Google and Alexa at first, but a little while later the 4 sockets showed up and I was then able to use voice commands on them as well. There is also a time delay after changing the names of sockets for them to show up in both systems. Google was the first to show all the sockets in the Home APP and Alexa a short time later. Overall I am very happy as this replaced 3 separate smart sockets I had been using behind the table.

These strips were very easy to setup and work beautifully! Just be sure you press and hold down the power button on it for several seconds until it starts flashing blue, THEN connect it in the Smart Life app choosing "multi socket", and individually name the four switches on it by tapping the very small pen icon out to the right of each switch. They are defaulted to SWITCH 1, SWITCH 2, SWITCH 3 and SWITCH 4. Alexa does not recognize them as a "socket", so use the term "switch" if you don't rename them yourself. "Alexa, turn on switch 2" etc.Make sure you've enabled and authorized the Smart Life app in your Alexa app first, under the "skills and games" section. Also, be sure to have the login you created for your Smart Life app handy when you authorize it in the Alexa app. Once the strip is connected in the Smart Life app, be sure to tell Alexa to "find devices", she'll find five new devices; the USB ports (considered one device) and the four individual switches.

These are exactly what I was looking for, a simple power strip that i can control with my phone (Samsung Galaxy s10+). I can control each outlet individually within their app (Smart Life) or via Google Home which I prefer because it has everything else in it like the 12 Chrome Cast Speakers, lights, and so much more.I have a couple of these power strips in my garage so I can turn on different tools when I need them and off when I don't. It works perfect with my garage air filtration systems, miter saw, USB fans to assist in dust collection, again, perfect for my needs.If you follow the directions, they are easy to set up, at least on Android. If you are looking for a simple device to regulate power where you need it, this will be perfect for you.

I would give this ZERO STARS if I could. The plugs are completely unusable. There is plastic in them that you cannot punch through and there is no way to get inside to remove it. I was unable to plug my items into this. It plugged into the wall and the light did go on to indicate it was powered on, but I don’t trust a company for surge protection whose quality control is this lacking. This is being returned and I will buy from Belkin or Tripp Lite as I usually do... I was trying this due to the WiFi feature. Not worth it. Crap.

I love this. I got it to put behind my couch. I have two lamps and a scented wax melter plugged in. I can command Alexa to turn each one on/off separately. I've given the device it's own name and I can turn it on/off, which turns on both lamps and the melter at the same time. I leave the USB chargers on and have charging cords plugged in. So easy to charge devices and not have them in the way. This will be really great at Christmas, I'll be able to plug in my tree and several lighted garlands and be able to turn them on/off all together or separately.

Ok so once you figure it out, this things is fantastic lol. For the people claiming its defective because plugs wont push in, you need a three prong plug the ground pin is what makes it open and you can cheat this with a pen cap if you have a two prong device! Smart life app quickly and easily detected the power strip and so did Alexa as well right after (I already had smart life skill installed) BUT, at first Alexa only sees it as a power strip and it's all or nothing on or off but, if you choose add new device and select Tuya and let it do its 45 seconds of discovery it will find and split them all into separately controlled switches and it puts the USB ports together as one!! With some much better instructions they could sell this much easier!

I'm a snowbird. When i leave one house for the next one, i want to charge all my battery operated things (razor, power drill, wireless speakers, etc...) at least once a month to keep the batteries active. I needed multiple remotely operated plugs (that used to be much pricier than this power bar) to do this or attach a power bar to one of them with limited power output. Now with this one, i can control the 4 power outputs and the 2 USB plugs individually with a very easy tu use app. The 2 USB plugs are controlled as one though like stated in the specifications.
