Clinical Applications of Nursing Diagnosis: Adult, Child, Women's, Psychiatric, Gerontic, and Home Health Considerations

I like this nursing diagnosis book because it gives the variety in adult, children, women's, mental health, and the older adult. But as with all nursing diagnosis books, it does require you as the nurse to use your critical thinking skills because each patient is different when it comes to interventions. I use this book more as a guide than as the absolute truth when it comes to making care plans.

The book helps you decide between nursing diagnosis, giving you the criteria the pt must exhibit for the diagnosis to fit, and alternative dx for similar dx. The nursing cares are included so you can write a plan of care.

Review of the seller: the book came in good condition, used, as expected, within the time frame paid for.The book itself was required by my program, and I would have thought a book with so many editions would be a polished and well edited resource. However, right within the front cover the book lists nursing diagnoses that aren't expanded on within the book. It tries to help you decide between different diagnoses, but the deciding factors are less than clear. There is little to no guidance on what one should do in terms of therapy or application.

Better than a lot of other books.

Book was in shape with minor scratches but overall happy!!!!

Very helpful text for my beginning nursing students. My only criticism is that the font of the nursing diagnoses on the front and back cover are so small that they are almost illegible.

I do like this one it was very helpful during LPN and RN school. The only complaint is that i wish there was a list of disease/conditions to go with Nursing Dx.

This was a required book in my nursing program however I found it to be confusing and not really user friendly for beginning nursing students. As I progress it may be a better resource but I purchased another book that is much easier to use and follow. There is a lot of helpful information in the book which is why I gave it 3 stars but you already have to know what you are looking for to find what you need.
