GrisportMen's Crusader Hiking Boot

The best boots I've had
I bought these to replace a pair of similarly priced Hi-Tec's, which I'd been wearing for about three years for dog walking; but they failed when the sole came away. At the time I bought the Hi-Tec's I did considered the Grisport Crusader, having already had outstanding wear from pair of walking shoes, and a street pair I bought when Adam was a lad (still wearing well, after having the heel resoled). I have previously had a variety of walking boots: Brasher's, Altberg's, plus various Hi Tec - to name a few. My need has always been for a good dog-walking boot, with holiday use as well.I have now found my perfect boot - the Grisport Crusader (shame about the name though). These are beautifully constructed, all leather - and good Italian leather at that, and with a nice high collar to give excellent support. On that, I should add, that for the first few walks the collar may seem uncomfortable; but this is it bedding in, as the boot moulds to your feet; after that they are like wearing gloves. Also, treat them well. I use Leder Griss brown wax oil on all our boots, and apply it regularly to avoid cracking; but (so far) these boots are fine.So what's not to like? Excellent value, the sizing is perfect - mine is an 8, and fits exactly, and built to last. I'm even thinking of buying an extra pair to have - for when we exit the EU, and the price probably goes up.

Just would like to reflect what most people are saying about this ...
Just would like to reflect what most people are saying about this boot. They are very comfortable indeed. I wear them walking around town and in countryside. In dry and wet conditions. These boots are great. Not only very comfortable, the leather is good, grip is good, they look good; they are the best walking boot i have owned, having previously purchased Hi-Tek and other cheaper alternatives. And, also, with regard to the design: every part of this boot is well thought out; the webbed tongue, the vibram soul, the ankle support, the lacing-eye position, the little bit at the back which bends with your ankle to stop rubbing.... I would recommend these bootsIve had mine for 3 or 4 years now and i still love them. v. good indeed

Top Boot!
Walked these 10 mile, straight out of box. First impressions are this is a moderate priced boot that has everything I need & well exceeds its cost.Very comfortable, fits firm & snug without cramping the feet or ankles anywhere.Tremendous grip, giving confidence to stride out in slippery conditions.Unlaces low to make for quick & easy putting on/taking off without grabbing at heavy socks.Surprisingly light for a large boot, with so many features, hardly know I've got them on; except for the pleasure wearing them! They are certainly waterproof, with routine cleaning & maintenance, I'm confident they will remain so for a long time.I bought them as replacements for my old favourites, to spend a fortnight walking the lake District. I'll report back if any problems do develop, but I would be surprised!?As for size, I think they come out about 1/4 size smaller than I expected, that's just about perfect for me, taking a 12 shoe, I ordered 13, so if your not sure between two sizes, then go for the larger. The extra width is much appreciated & adds to the comfy fit. After my initial 10 mile, I kept them on at home for another few hours; they just make you feel so good!I recommend buying a pair ...just one boot would be virtually useless :¬)

Good boots
These seem to be good boots. didn't need to break them in much. Tested them standing in a deep puddle and no water ingress at all.10 months in, 22 Munro’s and 350ish miles. These have been brilliant boots.I keep them clean and have given them a couple of re-waxings and they’re still like new. I’ve never had wet feet wearing these boots.I get sore feet after 11 miles or so with these boots. Doesn’t matter what the terrain is. Though this might due to my overpronating feet rather than the boots.I don’t know why but they have tendency to get a white salty layer when theyre drying out. Brushes off easy enough.

These boots were brilliant. Walking on Ice
After always paying in the 50 pound range for short walk boots decided that I needed something a little more rugged for a holiday to Iceland. These boots were brilliant. Walking on Ice, snow, volcanic rock, sand, wet mud, shale and every other harsh surface. Grip excellent, did not slip once. Very comfy with great ankle support. Warm and water proof. I doubt I could have bought a better pair if I had spend 3 times the amount.

Quality product
Having previously owned grisport peaklanders I thought I would try these. They are great boots and you can tell the quality is better very well made. The main problem for me is the peaklanders are so good and for me the price hike for these is not worth it nearly double the price. When these wear out will be getting the peaklanders again can't recoment them enough. The crusaders do seem an incredible boot though and I will be wearing them daily so time will tell. They do need a little wearing in though and the are pretty wide I have put 2 thin insoles in mine. Again premium quality for a good price but do prefer my peaklanders thanks. Update 6 months later Intake back what I said worth every penny and made so much better than peaklanders my next pair of boots will be these again 5 stars but 4 top quality boots 👍👍👍
