I purchase Kurt Adler Nutcrackers for an avid collector and this one went over well! It is beautifully made and in shimmering gold. So far my favorite of the Kurt Adler purchases! It is worth the price and you will not be disappointed!!

This is a beautiful nutcracker and although it is functional, I use is only as a decoration around Christmas. Each year I buy another Kurt Adler nutcracker and I'm now building a nice collection. At 18" it is nice and tall and the details are really nice, including a nice cloth cape. You won't regret ordering this and like most of these Kurt Adler nutcrackers; the photos don't do it justice.

I ordered three of the gold nutcrackers. Two were from Amazon and one was from another seller.The two from Amazon came with what appear to be counterfeit silver/grey capes. One was also defective, and one was in good condition.The third nutcracker (from another seller) appeared to be genuine, but it was broken and the front beard was detached...Attached are pictures of the Amazon vs other side by side. The silver/grey capes are very thin and cheap feeling and don't look like item listing at all. At first I thought it was my monitor until I received the one with the thick, gold cape that looks exactly like the item listing picture.I'm a little confused by this all. Thankfully Amazon always has top notch customer service.

I buy one of these every year for my son. I try to get one that represents something that happened to him in the last year. I bought this King because of a trip he took to Slavakia to see all the castles. He loved it!

The beautiful brocade cape and fine details make this one of the standouts in my mother-in-law's nutcraker collection. If it weren't Christmas, I would have kept this nutcracker for myself! I tried to buy one for myself after Christmas, but they were sold out. Can't wait to see the second of the three kings next year.
