Our garbage cans are in the alley. We get a lot of dog poop bags from the neighborhood walkers. A random poop bag or 3 a week is one thing. We were getting anywhere from 12-35 bags a week!!!! Ya, it's great walkers are picking up the poop and not leaving it in the grass. That's bc it's the law. I believe a dog walker should also discard their dog's poop on their own property---your dog, your poop, your responsibility. This is a residential neighborhood.....neighbors/walkers should be a little more considerate of that fact. We use our cans just like any other house in our alley---and in America uses them. We toss out OUR garbage in there. The stench can be overwhelming, especially in the summer. Feces attract rats and diseases. I have kids that toss out our garbage. They play basketball near our cans.After I started to see neighbors discard their poop in our can, then walk 4-5-6 houses to their own house, I had to do something. Since putting these on our cans---it has discouraged them from using our cans. We may get a random bag here and there---but so much better than 30 in a week. It's August---and this has been the first summer we did not get a maggot infestation....and powerwash our cans.

This product saved the day (or should I say night)...Our garbage cans were constantly getting "broken" into by the critters that live in our neighborhood. We tried using a bungee cord to lock our can but the garbage guys were always getting annoyed having to unhook it and it would fall off and get lost or thrown away. I was searching for a new garbage can that had a latch or something and came across this. It is the best thing to happen to my garbage ever! No more having to clean up gross garbage in the morning. The raccoons used to tear up our trash and leave it all over the deck and backyard. We've had these for about 2 weeks now and the raccoons are frustrated beyond belief. Raccoons kept getting into our garbage. I was putting heavy potted plants on top which worked for a while - until they realized they could push them off. There were far too many mornings of finding garbage everywhere! Then I found this can lock! Easy to slip on the garbage can and the bungee type cords keep the lid in place. There's a clip on top that you press to release the lock. Easy for a human, but too much for a raccoon. This product is awesome! If you have garbage picking critters, order this now!!

This is the best thing for when you need to keep animals from getting into your trash! This is my second purchase the first one has a smaller clasp and it broke but they improved it and made it bigger and so far so good is still buy it again if this clasp breaks it’s worth the money and keeps your trash from being torn apart in the middle of the night by animals and keeps you from having to clean it up in the morning

This is my second one! I bought the first one a year ago and it is holding up great! I didn't trust it would work so I only bought one a year ago. It worked amazingly well and I got tired of having only one trash barrel the raccoons didnt knock over. I dont know why it took so long to buy another one. Save yourself time and order one for every trash barrel that is outside and vulnerable to trash pandas. Now my trash is secure and the neighborhood raccoons hate me.

Works just like it described it would! I live in a townhome in Florida and we have the worse racoon problem. Raccoons have been going through mine and all my neighbors trash at night, sometimes even during the day. The Doggy Dare keeps out even the most clever/gangsta racoon. No maggots, nothin!
