Made a legitimate and immediate difference
I had taken my manual Veloster in to get a new door after someone hit me in the parking lot. Once I got my car back it shifted terribly. As a side note I believe this was most likely caused by a technician at the auto shop I took my car to either hot running my car or driving it without knowing how to drive a manual transmission. The gear lever was very notchy and in sixth gear I had to slam it to even get it to go into sixth gear. So needless to say I was pretty worried about it. I had heard of prolong in the past and so I bought it and thought might as well give it a try. I put it in my transmission last night and after I got everything button back up a cycled through the gears with my foot on the clutch and then I took it for a quick trip down the highway cycling through all 6 forward gears and reverse. And I noticed an immediate difference now I'm driving it again today and it still feels better I think it feels better than it did last night so it seems like it may continue to improve my shifting experience. I'm very thankful that I tried this product and I suspect you will be thankful as well. As I'm driving right now cycling through the gears I'm noticing no spots where it feels like my lever is getting hung up I noticing no I'm hesitation as I fully engage the gear It feels more like it's getting sucked into place as opposed to having to force it into place

Great product
Like thier engine treatment it works wonderfully. I bought an older neglected Silverado and it had nasty dirty transmission fluid and wasn't shifting right. I put a new filter and fluid it it twice in a short period of time and was better but not great. I added this and it worked wonders. Used to not know whether to drop into 1st or 2nd sometimes and it would gradually slip into overdrive. No longer does that and you can hear it engaging into OD without hesitation.

Strange referred me to this and it paid off.
I was a bit skeptical when someone referred this to me, but glad I took a chance, my transmission started shifting much more smoothly within a couple minutes from putting it in and driving around a bit.

Attempting to use on mildly worn synchronizers
I put this in my 2015 Honda Accord V6 manual coupe (6MT) with 120k+ miles, to see what it would do. Most of the gears are pretty notchy on cold start driving, with 2nd gear crunching and grinding sometimes, and 3rd gear locking me out occasionally at higher RPM’s. I plan to add this alongside some Valvoline Synchromesh manual transmission fluid. For my FWD transaxle, it’s been known to be mildly over-filled, in order to help with harsh shifting on cold starts. I over-fill anywhere from ~2.7-3 qts (capacity is 2.5 qts), and it seems to help a bit. However, it takes nearly 15-20+ solid minutes of constant few shifting past 2500-3000 RPM, to get the gearbox/trans to properly warm up and smoothen out the shifts. All in all, it’s probably best to just go with a FULL synthetic GL-4 transmission fluid/gear oil. They tolerate high heat much better, and don’t shear down as easily, making them a good choice for extended service/maintenance intervals. I still add a bit of oil stabilizer or transmission fluid stabilizer, in order to help “condition” the trans fluid.

Be patient with this it works!!!
1997 Dodge Diesel...Seriously, we employee a master mechanic with 35 plus years of experiance. He erviced the transmission in my transmission, adjusted belts changed filters and flushed the system. he also put a shift kit in it. Nothing was working I was in the market to buy a new transmision. I have had a lot of luck in the past with Pro Long products so I asked him iif it would work. He said it might and rolled his eyes. I though what the heck I have nothing to lose and everything to gain for $14.00. So I bought a bottle. I put it in the transmission and in about 15 minutes it mad a differance in the lower gears. I then drove to Eugene and the worst thing possible to me happened. As I was going through the mountain passes between Grants Pass and Eugene I started losing the passing or high gear at 55 to 65 miles per hour going over the mountain. I mean nothing the transmission just started spinning and lost all power. I was supper bummed. When I got back from Eugene I parket the truck for the weekend. We were out of riggs and I had to drive to Cave Junstion so I got in my truck and headded to cave junction. No Joke the transmission works perfectly now. I dont know if its just how long it took or what ever but wow. Its like I have a new transmission. I had read that it can take a bit or it all to work out and in this case it did. So if you use it I would say just be patient. This stuff is with out a doubt Amazing. Another product I found amazing is Steel Seel for head gaskets just an FYI. That one fixed my Subaru and was recomended by our Mechanic.

So let me break it down...
Ok so 1stly, not one to make reviews on stuff but I wanted to share my experience to potentially help anyone on the fence or curious about prolong products especially the transmission additive. So if you have a 09 or newer hemi ram 1500 laramie, the digital gauge cluster gives you oil temp, oil pressure, coolant temp & transmission temperature. So the truck with 180k mi on it at the time, me & dear old dad were headed on a adventure to collect car 2 hours away (astoria or to hillsboro or, hwy 26, from sea level to 1500ft & back down other side). While headed to pick up tow dolly (nothing in tow or in the bed) the trans temp was reading the usual 170 degrees +/-. As we pick up the dolly, I add the trans additive & check all fluids & tire pressure. Hook up & hit the road. While climbing the "mountain pass" I decide to look at trans temp, 130+/- degrees. Whoa, that's noticeably low for the truck, especially towing a empty dolly uphills for an hour. I figured it was a fluke & it was gonna wear off once we got weight on it. Not quite, even while towing on dead ass flat towing a loaded dolly it was never more 140 degrees, and finally the last push up Bradley (return on hwy 30) & thru knapa or, the most it got was 154 degrees! Uphill towing dolly & car... where before it would REGULARLY crest 205 degrees going up Bradley Hill. Now 50 degrees cooler and being put thru the same paces! And still to the day, having done services & filter replacements & continued prolong additive use, not even on the hottest summer day will it crest over 200 degrees. (184 was the most & just recently while towing dolly loaded with 06 crew cab tundra) There's more I could say about it BUT being a skeptic snake oil suspicious individual myself, this is my experience with real numbers showing improvements. Temperature isn't everything, but we should all know & agree that sustained lower operating temp means less fluid overheating, loosing ability to disperse the heat that's generating, heat that's causing more wear metals to cook off into the fluid & clutch material, that's getting caught in filter, stifling flow limiting atf to get around to do its job & keep it cool & lubricated.

Worked surprisingly well
04 ram 1500 automatic transmission. I read about someone using prolong in a dodge forum and I tried it as a last resort to fix my hard shifting and disengaging problems and it worked. It shifts very smooth now. I removed 8 oz of trans fluid and poured it in. I will use prolong every time I change my fluid. It’s not a miracle in a bottle but it is very effective

Saved my transmission
I had an fluid leak and I almost damaged my transmission. I fixed the leak and changed the fluid the first time but there was still slipping and noises, the second fluid change I used this and now it’s 90% better.

I have a 600,000 Toyota Corolla that I want to keep forever.
I hear everywhere that this product is simply the best additive that you can add to an automatic transmission to “Prolong” it’s life in a newer car and also for heavy mileage one.
