Bloodborne - PlayStation 4 [Digital Code]

I bought this right after I bought my PS4 (after several years of playing on a PS3) and, while I'm not sorry I bought it, I can't give it all five stars because it is just too difficult for me. I have logged hours and hours of Oblivion, Skyrim, all the Uncharted games, The Last of Us and am now rocking Far Cry: Primal. I go back to Bloodborne from time to time but never get too far. The graphics are awesome, the storyline is awesome, the dialog is awesome! I love all of that. I'm a pretty hard-core gamer for 65 years old, but this one is really tough. Maybe I'm just too old....but I did play all levels on Uncharted and The Last of Us. So I'm not that shabby. But this one is going to take a lot of practice and effort.

I love this game. The level design is great and environment amazing. Each level has a dark, creepy, feel to it making you wonder what kind of monster lurks around each turn and Bloodborne doesn't disappoint with the monsters either. It really feels more like a horror game than most horror games I've played, jump scares are there too.It can be very challenging and requires a commitment to really learn the mechanics. Once you get past the fact that dying is how you learn and start to recognize enemy patterns it becomes extremely engaging. The boss battles feel appropriately epic and give a feeling of accomplishment each time "Prey Slaughtered" is displayed.This game does take a lot of time and attention. A lot of the story is buried within the text of items and requires you to go out of your way and read each description to infer some of the back story.While Bloodborne doesn't hold your hand and can be frustrating at times it is well worth it.

This game is amazing. I know I am late to the party, I didn't own a ps4 for awhile, but I bought the console on prime day and had heard amazing things about this game. I was a little scared to try as I heard it could be extremely punishing, which it kind of is, but I am so glad I did. I almost quit a few hours in out of frustration as I had never played a souls game but this ended up being one of my favorite games of all times. It inspired me to go back and play through the souls series and while I enjoyed those games as well I preferred Bloodborne.

I bought this game because I was waiting for Sekiro shadows die twice to come out. A friend recommended it to me saying it would help me get used to a similar type of combat. I enjoyed playing this game and it took me forever to make any progress in it but I stayed persistent and got a little better. As I got farther, as you can imagine, the game got more and more difficult. Waiting on Sekiro to come today so hopefully it helped me not be a complete novice.

There are very few games I would add to my theoretical tattoo list. Zelda, Skyrim, and now Bloodborne --- it has won me over in less than a month. I tried out the Dark Souls series but could not get into the fighting style, Bloodborne is much quicker and aggressive which apparently suits me better. The story is hidden in the items and rare lore tidbits around the world -- read their descriptions! Love it! I deplore you to buy this game...it is amazing. Challenging but not too difficult! If you feel as if the game is a little too rough -- help people out on bosses with the small resonant bell to level up quicker!

So how can I put this blood borne is not for the faint hearted. Its a awesome game if you like dark or lovecraftian things. But it's rough combat that will punish you for making a mistake. Storyline is rich if you look for it otherwise you won't know what's going on but that's for you to chose. Some seek lore others to prove themselves but all are stuck here in the night of the hunt.

new to a from software game? at first this game is extremely hard and frustrating because you dont know what to do and are not use tot eh game style, but after a couple hours and you get a feel this is one of the greatest games I have ever played. the level design is amazing, the environmet is amazing, and the sense of mystery and horror create a world like no other

Hard but fair game you will learn from your mistakes and get better .No other game has infected me and burrowed into my psyche like this game has , I would be in work thinking about a particular boss how to defeat him or her or it, or am ready for this stage should I venture forth or farm some blood echoes in a previous stage to level up.I go ever so slowly ,left foot first then right, as I enter a new area and marvel at the level design and seethe in fear and tension for some creatures can kill you with just 2 hits but as you progress and replay levels from dying alot you learn enemy patterns, dodging becomes instinctive weapons become stronger fear never truly goes away, at least in my case, but you get braver and begin to understand and learn the dynamics of the game (as it encourages an aggressive tactic at times in order to recover your vitality) in what you can dish out and what you can take. You in turn become stronger, better a BOSS in your own right in this demented victorian nightmare .My only caveat is that I wish lamps could teleport you straight to where you want to go instead of having to always return to the hunters dream .Be Fearful be Brave be Bold be BLOODBORNE .
