This is a great value deal for anybody who needs some NB-6L batteries for their Canon compact camera. Our family has several Canon compacts, and they all use these NB-6L batteries. If you buy the OEM version, it is VERY expensive. If you buy the no-name batteries off of eBay, or even here at Amazon, you are risking poor performance or even small fires if you get a bad one, which happens sometimes. These Wasabi brand batteries use cells made in Japan, instead of China, and have very good quality. * They fit like the OEM battery. I've had the cheap copies actually swell after some use so that they were hard to remove from the camera. These fit perfectly, even after many cycles of use. * They charge back up to a high level even after many cycles. Once again, the cheap ones, in my experience, tend to start off great, but degrade faster than you would think. * The charger is a nice plus. when plugged into the wall socket, it has no particular advantage over the Canon version, but if you are on the road, having the 12V capability for use in a car is great. As you can tell, I really like these batteries. In addition to these NB-6L replacements, I have an extra duty pack for my Canon Vixia HD camcorder and my son's backup batteries for his Canon 60D SLR are also Wasabi brand cells. Are they are good as the OEM? Hard to tell. They are rated for more mA/Hrs, but in practice they seem the same to me, which is actually the definition of what a great replacement is all about.

I ordered Charger kits from Wasabi for my Canon Vixia Video Camera and my Canon S95 still camera. I'm a photographer and have many chargers for all the different gear I use. So far I've been very impressed with both units from Wasabi - well made, fast charging times and the batteries hold an awesome charge. The stock battery for the S95 is 1000ma and these are 1300ma and so far they have not disappointed. The amazing part is I got the charger and two batteries for less than what Canon wanted just for the charger alone! PLUS - I got a cigarette lighter plug to use the charger while on the road, and an EU adapter for my European visits. AWESOME value! Come to think of it, I should probably get a few more chargers for my travel bag...

Works perfectly battery just dies kinda fast

For me, there is nothing I would ask this product to do that it is not already doing. I do need to note that I have had these batteries (and accessories) for only a few weeks - using them on an extended trip to Nepal. So, I cannot comment on durability at this point. However, with that disclaimer, the batteries work well and the charger is reliable and reasonably well designed. The charger is bigger than I would like but maybe it needs to be this size for internal reasons. So, I can't subtract any stars for that. I do not currently have any obvious conclusions regarding the relative amount of power in one of these batteries compared to the Canon battery that came with my camera. There may be a difference but I do not notice it in travel use. So, I'm pleased. Further, the price seems very good for the product. Therefore, I give it high marks for value. Based on use thus far I would have no hesitation to buy more products from this company.

Follow up after several years: Reduced power but still working after much use. Discovered additional important benefit: comes with a 12 volt alternative plug. Very efficient fast charging in vehicle or battery pack especially in remote areas. Would search for in future orders. Original Review: Have cycled camera batteries through use several times. Provide long service. Recent glacier trip, three days, over three hundred photos, camera gps-log on continuously for each day, single battery was still not depleted. Recharge takes a while but not a problem. Be sure to "click" battery into charger, not always obvious.

Worked great and didn’t have any issues. I just received it so I’ve only used it once. I’m not sure about long term use. No complaints so far.

I have bought these battery and chargers, two sets, for my new Canon SX 280 HS that just loves batteries, they may last a little less, but I really haven't noticed the difference, I have been using them in - 20 degree C temps and you really can't blame a battery for quitting a little early, I am quite satisfied, and would recommend them, especially since the original Canon batteries cost many times more. God bless James UPDATE It's December 7,2014 and I have been using and charging these batteries as needed and find that they even seem to last longer than the original Canon battery, the chargers work fine and I would definitely recommend to anyone, I am very pleased, I have been on hunting trips for weeks and haven't even used more than 2 batteries, I had brought my chargers and never had to use them, I have 5 batteries in all, Really more than the average person will ever use, the first week was the hardest on batteries as I was learning how to use the many features on my new Canon SX 280 HS camera, I rate this at the very best I have ever owned, the zoom (80X digital) is just unbelievable, the batteries and camera are, awesome. Excellent unit, with the connection( on the unit) I was able to charge the batteries from a razor socket @ 110v in Antigua rather than trying to find a 220v socket

this product pack is fantastic! that battery could run much much longer than the original one which really surprised me. the price is also very reasonable. Worth it!

Have a Canon SX280HS - great camera except for one thing - no battery life when shooting videos. Was going to return it for a refund - but love the low light capabilities. Ordered these batteries and chargers - 1/2 the price of a single battery alone - they work awesome, and the charger is great - doesn't matter how you stick the batteries in, and also does the original Canon batteries too. Very happy with this purchase. Unfortunately, even with these batteries, the Canon only gets about 12 to 15 minutes of video time before you have to change the battery - fortunately, I now have 4!!

I did not have time yet to check how long they last, but they fit perfectly in my Canon camera and charger. They come with their own charger, and adapters for the car and european electrical outlets. They were pre-charged. I think it's a good purchase.
