Makes perfect poached eggs!
At last a real old fashioned poacher that works just like my Mom used to use. I tried the micro-wave plastic based poachers and all they did was explode the eggs when the small amount of water super heated. This original aluminum light weight pan comes with a glass see through lid way is controlled, simple and easy and 2 coated poaching cups. It makes perfect poached eggs. ! add a squirt of olive oil to help them flop on to my plate. I have the 2 egg poacher. The pan has a water line. Fill, boil and cook. Really like this one! (Trashed the exploding plastic one!). Came in a nice cardboard box.

Great little pan for poached eggs.
Great pan. Stainless parts with Teflon coated egg cups. (I still coat them with butter or similar) Easy to clean. Clear cover lets you see cooking progress. The cover has a small vent hole so it doesn't get steamed upWater depth is marked on the pan for best depth.

It works, but...
I ordered the two-egg poacher and received it within days. Washed it up and sat it aside for a few days before using. I read the enclosed instructionsโsounded pretty easy:- Fill the water level to the clearly marked line on the pan.- Bring the water to a boil.- Spray the cups with oil.- Drop eggs into the cups.- Place the cups into the two holes in the top plate.- Sit the lid on top.- Cook for 2~4 minutes.I set the egg-timer app on my phone for four minutes and waited. The egg whites touching the sides of the cup seemed to solidify pretty quickly, but I waited the full four minutes before taking the lid off. I touched the top of the egg with my spatula. The edges were cooked, but the center above the yoke was still translucent (read: raw).I reset my timer for two more minutes, reinstalled the lid and waited. Once the timer went off I took off the lid and started to lift the first cup by the round metal handle. Donโt do that! The instructions say it will be hotโit is.Using a folded paper towel, I lifted the cup out of the pan and turned it over onto a piece of toast. I had my spatula ready, but didnโt need it. The egg slipped easily out of the cup.How was it? Quite good, actually. The whites were solid, like they should be, and the yokes were hot and runny (as they should be).So, whatโs my impression of this egg poacher? It does what it says it will do, but not exactly as they say it would do it.One possible reason is that the glass lid doesnโt actually fit the pan once the flat metal plate is put into place. Itโs pretty obvious that the pan and lid were produced as a set and the lid fits as you would expect. However, once the flat plate is sat into the rim of the pan, the lip of the lid had no place to go. The loose lid may be one of the reasons that eggs are still raw after four minutes. The steam created by the boiling water leaks out instead of cooking the top portion of the egg.The round metal clips that go around the cups for lifting are actually a bit too tall to allow the lid to sit evenly on the top of the pan/flat plate. This too may lead to loss of steam.Overall impression? The quality seems consistent with what you would expect for low-cost pots & pans. For eighteen bucks (prime price) and free shipping, itโs a good deal.Functionally, it is fine, even with the noted quirks. You just have to adjust the cook-times to produce the eggs the way you want.Bottom line: Yes, I would buy it again and recommend it to friends.

Nice looking works well sturdy
Nicer then I thought it would be. a bit difficult to take the egg cup out when is hot but eggs cook well and quickly. Perfect at 3 minutes nice runny yolk and white all cooked.

Makes the perfect poached egg
This is the best egg poacher I've ever used [and over 66 years, I've used several]. It's easy to use and to get the eggs out. Cleaning is a breeze. The only negative I have is the lid will not seat well while the eggs are poaching and is not a snug fit.
User
Well made.
Just used this today and my eggs were perfect. It was easy to use. I put a little butter in each cup as the water was heating up and then brushed the sides with it. Nothing stuck! Love this pot and will get lots of use! Handles get hot as they are not coated so use potholders.
User
Good quality
My husband just loves this egg poacher. It is heavy duty, nice looking and the two egg version is just enough for him.
User
Works quite well but there are a couple of things, one of which is completely false
It works pretty well for the intended purposes but I cannot believe all the reviewers didn't mention an important detail...I have attached what the seller adds in the description. There is NO WAY that there is a "Stay cool handle and knob!" My goodness, you HAVE to use oven mitts! The handle gets so hot it would immediately burn your hand! The knob is scalding as well! There is no possible way others don't experience this. It's just the construction of the pan itself. It works fine but be cautious when adjusting the pain during cooking. When the timer (about 4 minutes) is done, be sure to drain off the bit of water on top of the egg. Do NOT fill the water to the fill line inside the pan...That is waaaay too high and you will have a lot of water on top the the eggs which must be drained off. The cups themselves do not get scalding. It's good but it is like the old time pans...you know, the ones your grandmother had that would burn your fingers like a steel mill accident. LOL
