My lab doesn’t jump up and take food from the counter or open the trash can or steal empty water bottles from the side trash can (easily in doggie reach) to crunch even though she LOVES crunching them. So, she is well-behaved. She doesn’t open the top of this toy chest if it is closed and not latched with the small amount of hook and loop fastener, either. (Full disclosure: we did have to put mats with plastic “spikes” on the couch for a few days to break her of her couch-crashing habit the moment we left the room)It is PERFECT for her and likely would be for many other dogs.That said, if your dog is mischievous or strong-willed this box is not going to work. He lid will pop right open and the box can be easily shredded by a big dog with a purpose. Know your dog and this may be great for you as it is for me but appreciate its limitations. It also is rather small for a “big dog” toy box anyway.

Day 1: Puppy ripped the pretty white lining that surrounds the outside of the box after about 5 minutes. Manages to snack on yummy cardboard insideDay 2: Puppy easily rips off handles while trying to carry box. Also pulls off and tries to eat velcro enclosures on lid and side of boxDay 3: Rips off and eats more of the lining. Damages sides while searching for toy. Dog parent goes back to searching for a cute box that can stand up to a 6 month old pup

Not durable, feels like cheap fabric covering cardboard.Not puppy approved.Update 2.19.21Threading came loose and my puppy took advantage of it and pulled at all the loose threading. Turns out it is just cheap cardboard in cheap fabric. I can’t believe the stitching isn’t reinforced- it’s only single stitching and not even tight.It’s cute it just doesn’t hold up. I wouldn’t buy this again and I wouldn’t recommend it

This box is perfect to store items. it's large and can hold a lot of stuff and it's super cute. I plan to use it as a place to keep the dogs harness, thunder jackets, leashes, extra throw blankets, etc. right now it's storing random crap from around the living room while we paint (pictures, candles, remotes, mail etc.) and I love that it has a lid flap -it makes for a tidier appearance.

Within 2 weeks my kittens chewed through the sides and bottom of both of these boxes and we had to throw them out. If you get these do NOT let your kittens or dogs or whatever pets you have near them. Maybe use them to store food or something out of sight of animals. The pieces that they tore off could have caused them to choke so please use caution

A few of my larger dog toys fit comfortably into this box, but the lack of sides on the cover causes the cover to cave in and not close securely. I would have cared less about being able to completely flatten the box and more about having a sturdy cover. But the fabric is strong, and the bottom part of the box is solid.

After moving I wanted something better and more pleasing to the eye to put all of our dog toys, treats, medication, etc. in. We previously had plastic bins with no lids and always had things falling out of them. No more! I love that these have lids! I wish the Velcro was a bit stronger but these are great to have. We have already purchased a second one to organize things even more and our dogs have quickly learned that this storage box is a happy thing :)

Arrived in good condition. This arrived in a plastic Amazon bag so it was a little curved but no cracks in the cardboard material. There is a fabric covered base that helps with sturdiness. See pictures.The lid has a Velcro closure, but even without the Velcro the lid won't fall in the box.This box has more than enough room for my cats toys.Also feel obligated to mention this does NOT have any bad factory smells. I actually like how it smelled when I opened it, like brand new shoes.

Great storage box

This lasted two weeks, but to be fair that was not the fault of the box. My one year old german shepherd had a rare tantrum when I left for work one morning. When I returned from work the box was destroyed. Destroyed. In hundreds of little pieces from the front door where it was kept, through my kitchen, to my basement- complete ruin. This is the one and only item she has ever destroyed. However, the unfortunate destruction did reveal a few flaws in the product for me. Initially, I was very happy with how portable it is. It was delivered flat and is easy to flatten and unflatten. It looks good and modern and holds a lot of toys. I was happy that it has a lid because sometimes you want to pretend your house isn't cluttered with dog toys. It is a nice height for both my dogs to be able to reach their toys. I figured it would be perfect for travelling with the dogs water bowls, food dishes and leashes when my husband and I go on trips. Its an excellent size to pack into your trunk. However, once it was ripped open I realized that the box itself is made from cardboard. For casual use, this is not a big deal. But I know from experience how filthy and covered with dog hair a dog toy box is going to get. If you want a toy box you can easily wash by throwing in the washing machine or even wiping down with a damp cloth, this is not going to withstand the test of time. It is a case of you get what you pay for. As I said, to store some dog items for trips it would be perfect, but to leave on the floor to face the abuse of your dogs in the hopes that it will clean up like brand new this is not likely. In future, I plan on purchasing something a little more durable, perhaps even a small plastic tote that can just be rinsed out periodically.
