My head measures 59cm and I can't get the hat on. Using a tape measure, it's 55cm. Not a complete loss as my nephew was more than happy to take it off my hands. Just be aware that ether the quality control is inconsistent, or the above sizing is way out.

Excellent, and for once a xmas hat that fits my noggin (58 cm with thick head of hair to boot). I can even get some fingers up the sides comfortably. Good quality fabric and terrific fur looking band and bobble. So pleased with it, would definitely recommend.
