SAVORLIVING Apple Slicer
I recently purchased the SAVORLIVING Apple Slicer, and it has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen tools. Here’s why:Effortless Slicing: This upgraded version with 12 slices makes cutting apples a breeze. With just one push, I can evenly slice an apple into 12 perfect pieces. It's great for preparing snacks, salads, or baking ingredients in no time.Extra Large Design: The extra large cutter is perfect for handling bigger apples. Unlike some smaller slicers, this one accommodates even the largest apples without any issues, making it versatile for all types of fruit sizes.Stainless Steel Blades: The stainless steel construction ensures that the blades are sharp and durable. They cut through apples cleanly and easily, without bending or dulling over time. Plus, the material is resistant to rust, adding to the product's longevity.Comfortable Grip: The handles are designed to provide a comfortable and secure grip, making it easy to apply the necessary force to slice through even the toughest apples. This ergonomic design reduces the strain on your hands. One Minor Issue: The only small drawback I've noticed is that sometimes the core doesn’t always come out cleanly with the slices, especially with softer apples. This requires a bit of extra effort to remove the core pieces, but it’s a minor inconvenience considering the overall efficiency of the slicer.Easy to Clean: Cleaning the slicer is straightforward. It can be easily rinsed under the tap or placed in the dishwasher, ensuring that it’s ready for the next use without much hassle.ConclusionOverall, the SAVORLIVING Apple Slicer is a fantastic kitchen tool. Its durable build, efficient slicing capability, and user-friendly design make it a must-have for anyone who frequently enjoys apples. Despite the minor issue with the core, its performance and convenience far outweigh this small drawback.Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)I highly recommend this apple slicer for its quality and functionality.

Speeds up lunch packing!
Sturdy and made of all metal. After my old apple cutter/corer started to fall apart, I searched for its replacement. I chose this one for its larger size and it's "4 strengthened spot welding points per blade", as my last one's single spot weld failed, albeit its over 4 years old. I also like how this new one is a 12 piece cutter and handles large apples. It's the perfect portion/size for splitting one large apple for two kiddos. So far it's working great and cut easily, but be careful cutting - the blades are pretty sharp.TIP: After pressing the cutter through the apple, pull the core out first and then the slices. Promptly soak the slices in water with lemon juice (if you don't have lemon juice, salted water works too), then bag them into snack bags. The apple slices will look fresh all day without browning. An alternative is to press the cutter almost all the way down, remove the cutter while keeping the apple intact, then hold it together with a rubber band.

Great time saving tool when used with care
I needed a faster way to cut an apple into slices than with a traditional knife. This handy tool makes quick work if it. The tool itself is sturdy and generally works well. The main issues I have with it are that it's difficult to clean and it can be difficult to use if the Apple doesn't have a perfectly flat bottom.Cleaning this tool is difficult only because you have to use great caution around the blades. They are very sharp and cleaning between them is a pain and chews up the sponge you're using. This is not a problem unique to this brand, but is a problem with any tool of this nature. The second problem is less obvious until you try slicing a non perfectly shaped Apple. While it can be done, really mis shapen apples can be dangerous to slice with this. In generally it requires moderate pressure to slice. When you add into that scenario a mis shaped Apple, it becomes more difficult and dangerous since you have to apply this pressure on an angle to cleanly remove the core. Again, this is not unique to this brand, but rather the design of the tool in general.Overall I still recommend it since it is a huge time saver, just be careful using it and cleaning it since the blades are very sharp.

Slicing apples or making finger food…?
There were a couple of reasons why I wanted to try this particular apple slicer. Reviews described it as both sturdy and sharp. I've had my hand sliced up the past from this style of apple slicer because they fell apart while failing to make it through a sturdy apple. The finger slicing with those other brands worked because it was sharp but because it was poorly made. I'm happy to report: This is not poorly made. It's hard to imagine this thing falling apart in a war against an apple, in spite of the fact that it has more blades than a standard apple slicer, which means it has to work a little harder to get through the apple. Sturdy. But I will give you a warning — While you may never have to worry about getting cut up because it falls apart while using it, you will want to be ever-cognizant to the fact that these blades are SHARP by comparison to other Apple slicers. Again, I don't fault the design for this because that relative sharpness is what makes it work when slicing a large apple into several thin slices. as some other reviewers have mentioned, i, too, managed to cut my thumb ON THE VERY FIRST APPLE! LOLAnd so I will be much more careful (once bitten — or sliced — twice shy, as they say), and I encourage you to also be careful, or you may be accidentally making finger food. ;)
