Simple to install. Easy win for convenience sake!
We have our ring doorbell on our front gate which is about 20 feet away from our front door. I was getting tired of having to unscrew my ring doorbell (series 2) every 4-5 weeks because, depending on the timing, there may be nights where my ring wouldn’t be on. I was originally hesitant to install constant power because I knew that my doorbell would lose its “discreet” nature - having constant power enables the ring to glow at all times. Eventually, you get used to the constant light, however, now the sneaky people in the neighborhood see the light in my ring as opposed to having the element of surprise. But that’s besides the point...This product is great for those who want to power their ring in the simplest way possible. If you use the mounting plate provided by Ring, all you need to do is wrap the ends of this cable to the power screws on the mounting plate, and plug in the other end into a wall socket. I ran my cable from my black security gate and used black zip ties to fasten the wire along the gate bars (almost invisible to the naked eye).Easy to use, and something that was on my wishlist for months before I softened up and purchased it. I have had it for several months and I’m glad I do!

Ring doorbell 2 saga
A RING doorbell 2 was received for Christmas to replace the old doorbell. Problem 1: The old doorbell was an intercom and a note in the installation manual states, "DC transformers and most intercoms are not supported." Okay, installed the RING doorbell 2 to the side of the intercom. Problem 2: Could only hear the new doorbell from an alert on the cell phone. So...had to order a chime. This worked fine. Problem 3: The battery went to 50% charge in a week. Did not want to be constantly changing batteries. So, an AC 18 volt transformer was ordered and installed. The RING doorbell 2 now noted that the power source was hardwired and it took a couple of days for the battery to reach 100%. Problem 4: The Ring app on the cell phone only sends an alert signal. Since all alerts on this android cell phone are the same, one has to look at the cell phone to determine what alert it was. Sure wish that it would send a doorbell sound to the cell phone. It can't be that hard. Contacted RING.com, but have not received an answer yet.

Buzzing sound
Great product. Works as intended. The only issue is the buzzing sound from it. Gets pretty annoying after a few minutes

Dead as a door knob.
Perhaps I should say, dead as a doorbell. This thing was D.O.A. I should have checked BEFORE I installed it. My bad. The return window was only a couple of weeks after I received it in January. I got around to installing it over Memorial Day weekend and learned that the return window had passed, as did any Amazon Tech help. I'm just glad that I paid only $14.99 and not ten times that much. All in all, I wasted a lot of time and ended up with a lemon anyway. Caveat Emptor.

IT WORKS PERFECT
I installed this when I installed my Ring doorbell. It works like a charm. In the directions, it recommends that you don't shorten the length of the wire it came with as it will change the ohms resistance and then would require a resistor to correct it. I just left the wire the way it came. When I first installed the ring I purposely didn't plug in the transformer for a week or so to let the battery drain a little, then plugged it in to see if it charged the battery and sure enough, in about 1 day or so, the battery was back to 100% and stays that way.

Perfect for keep my Ring doorbell charged
I purchased this charger because I was tired of my Ring doorbell running out of charge every few weeks. This was easy to install because I have a plug right next to the doorbell. Make sure to recharge the Ring before hooking up this charger. It is only putting a trickle charge out and needs to start with a fully charged battery. Has been working perfectly for several months now. I love that I don't have to constantly check on the Ring but just know it is working.

Worth it!
I got tired of charging my ring and never had a door bell. This is a game changer! I know the entire point was to have it wireless, but when it’s wired it works soo much better! It catches motion immediately, instead of it being delayed. I did have to strip it for it to be longer. The copper wires became visible and I just twisted it to make it work. I also purchased this one because of how long it is. Great for the price, highly recommend!
