Memory foam is a huge disappointment. The squares you see on the pad are actually air pockets that are NOT cushions like, say, Nike air cushion. With a moderate load, they just flatten. I am not sure the foam even matters because it is too thin. I no longer use it for my overnight (yes, light travel) bag. Definitely don't recommend it.
