This product stop working after one month. I could hear the caller, but the caller cannot hear me. The microphone stopped working. I tried the online tech support and that was not very helpful.

The Plantronics Savi 8220 is a base-and-headset solution. The base can connect to a device via three methods: 1. USB cable (for example, a laptop) 2. Telephone handset adapter (for example, a landline telephone with a handset connected to a base unit via a modular cord). 3. Bluetooth (for example, a cell phone). You can switch between connected sources by pressing one of the three buttons on the top of the base unit; a light indicates the current active source.The headset connects to the base unit via DECT, which is a cordless telephone standard that provides good quality and range. The headset in the 8220 is binaural, i.e., covers both ears, and uses the newer Plantronics smooth earcups. The microphone works well, and the headset provides a level of Active Noise Cancelling that may be helpful. The on-ear style may not block out enough external sound for high-noise environments.I selected this because I got tired of using a Bluetooth headset that randomly switched between sources, and wanted a single headset that I could use with my landline, my cell phone, and for video conferencing via my computer. So far it has performed well for me.

I work from home in a call center environment and I was looking for a wireless headset that would last all day and be compatible with the Cisco IP 7481 desk phone my company uses. This system works perfectly, plus I can connect it to my work computer to use Zoom and Microsoft Teams. I also have it paired to my cell phone to answer personal calls through Bluetooth. The answer button on the headset won't answer a call from the cisco desk phone but that is ok because my company uses software to manage calls so I just need to hit the headset button to start taking calls from customers.The battery doesn't give a low battery message unless I forget to put it on the charger during my one hour lunch in my 8 hour days. The headset is lightweight so I can wear it all day without fatigue. The noise cancellation blocks the noise from my air conditioner and the buzz from my computer fans.The headset has good quality sound when listing to video on my computer and the volume is easy to adjust. I like having the mute button on the boom as it's easy to turn off and on. I can walk around my entire 680 square foot apartment without audio breaking up. I've even walked outside on call before as well.Overall I would recommend the headset for anyone working from home in a call center environment. Everything is compatible with Microsoft Windows and didn't require me to install any software to get started.

I have truly enjoyed the addition of the Plantronics Savi 8220 Headset to my workspace. The sound quality has been crystal clear and the headset comes with noise cancellation to help offset ambient noise while speaking into the boom mic. The Savi 8220 routes all incoming calls whether to my VOIP Phone, Mobile Phone or Desktop Computer. This has improved my office ergonomics since I no longer have to crane my neck to take cell phone calls while typing notes on the computer. I can also use the headphone style headset to listen to music via cell phone bluetooth or computer connection.The headset battery lasts all day without having to place back on the charging cradle. The headset is comfortable and adjusted nicely to the shape of my head. The boom mic works for both left or right style speaking. The headset has volume control directly over the right side ear piece and the boom mic comes with a dedicated Mute button. When Mute is enabled, the headset in-ear voice will remind you at intervals that mic is muted. People on the other end of phone will not hear the in-ear voice.The Savi 8220 is a great headset that helps manage my busy conference call schedule.

Opened the outer box to find the inner box already opened, packaging torn, and someone elses gunk on the headset. Absolutely unacceptable.

I specifically bought this product because I spend most of my day attached to the phone working from home. Oft times it is my cell though and not my desk phone and this product is one of the few that accommodates both at once. It works as described, easy to set up, easy to use, settings are to a small degree customizable.However, this product is not without its flaws, it doesn't communicate well with certain computer programs. The volume doesn't adjust properly when set to a lap top, it will say the mute is on when on a laptop call (discord) but it isn't always which can make for an awkward moment.Overall it is a good product and worth the money but it has some minor issues. Hopefully they will release an update to fix some of the bugs.

I wanted a headset for working from home in a somewhat noisy environment. I had high hopes for the close conversation limiting. I had a number of problems -- static when I was more than a few meters away from the base, static when my phone was too close to the base, the microphone picked up lots of background noise, difficulty pairing, the headset changed to the desk phone (which I didn't have connected) whenever I hung up a call so I'd have to go back to the base before I could take a new call, the Hub software needs to be installed to turn on close conversation limiting but it wouldn't allow me to adjust the setting for my headset. In the end I had to talk to Plantronics support. There were some minor problems (never responded to email, weren't open the hours listed) that could be COVID related, but when I got someone on the phone they were unwilling to help because "it's an older model that we don't really support anymore". I ended up calling back and got someone else, but still couldn't resolve any of my problems, so I returned it. The return was easy, but I think that says more about Amazon than Plantronics. The headset is comfortable, the controls are easy to use, the headphones block out background noise, and the sounds is clear (when you're close enough). I ended up getting a Jabra Engage 75 and I'm much happier with it.

Great sound and microphone. My one complaint is that the instructions are very sparse and its easy to get confused by the three connections.
