Worth 2x the Price
I LOVE this watch. I tend to prefer analog watches, but I love this digital watch. I love the orange accents on the gunmetal-ish face. I love the features it has (dual time, alarm clock, backlight, stopwatch, countdown timer). I love the size and weight of it. I love that it's cheap enough that I don't have to be paranoid about scratching it. My $400 kinetic Seiko is watching me with judgmental eye, gathering dust as I type this. What I DON'T love is how this watch comes with no instructions. It's not super complicated to figure out, but some of the basic things:-MODE switches between clock, stopwatch, alarm, countdown timer, clock #2 (completely separate time)-ADJ button shows month/date (when in clock mode), starts/stops stopwatch (stopwatch mode), turns alarm sound on/off (alarm mode), stars/stops countdown timer (countdown timer), and nothing in clock #2.-SET, when held down, resets the stopwatch (stopwatch mode), or enters you into set mode.SET MODEWhen you're either trying to set your clock time, countdown timer, or alarm, you first need to hold down SET until part of the display starts to flash. Once it flashes, press the ADJ button until you have correctly set it, then hit the MODE button to move to the next adjustment. Once you have set everything, hit SET.For example, if you want to set the countdown timer for 1 hour and 20 minutes: Hold down SET until it flashes. Hit ADJ once to set 1 hour. Hit MODE to switch to minutes. Hit ADJ 20 times to set it to 20 minutes. Then hit SET to finalize and exit out of set mode. Then once you want to start the timer, hit ADJ.Hopefully this helps. If not, then sorry to waste your time. I love this watch though. I have never owned Armitron watches before, but they will be my first search when this watch eventually dies.

Pleasantly surprised and impressed
I've never been a watch guy at all and only wear dressy watches when going out for the night. I decided I wanted a nice sports/casual watch for every day wearing. I bought this because I liked the look of it, and I really wanted a bigger style watch. Also, the customer reviews were fantastic which is always a good sign. The picture does no justice, the watch is very shiny and doesn't feel cheaply built. The buttons are actually made out of metal, and are very easy to push if you have big hands. I didn't need a lot of bells and whistles and only wanted it for the date, time, and timer function. It does have a stop watch and an alarm (which will be good on the nights my cell phone is dead). I got 3 compliments on it at work on the first day of wearing it. It's a good size watch. Not quite as big as some of the G-shocks, but still stands out big time on your wrist. My only two complaints are that there were absolutely no instructions in the box (others have seemed to have the same issue as well) and the back light is pretty dim. Not a deal breaker though. It's just bright enough to clearly see the time in a dark room, no more, no less. It may actually be better on the battery than if the whole thing lit up like the sun. Also, the light fades out instead of abruptly shutting off which is a really nice feature. One other strange thing is that when the alarm and hourly chime are shut off, they are lit up on the watch face, while when they are turned on, they are blacked out on the watch. It's a bit backwards, but I think was designed that way because most people will have those two functions turned off all the time and therefore eliminates having to look at two black screens on your watch for the majority of time. Thus, it seems like an aesthetics thing to me.Would highly recommend. Would have given it five stars if there were instructions in the box, and a slightly brighter back light. The best part of the watch is the crisp contrast between the shinny metal and orange accents.

Great Value
This is probably the best value in watches from a perspective of features and aesthetics/price. It has dual time, countdown timer, and a stop watch. There is also a button to illuminate all fields. There are a couple of quirks:1) It took me quite some time to figure it out, but in the setting where you can chose to activate the alarm and activate the hourly beep mode, when the choices are obscured by the the black outline (the box that has the picture of the alarm bell and hour chime will be have all of the pixels filled) it doesn't mean that these choices are disabled. Very counter-intuitively, it means that these selections are chosen. In other words, when you can't see the pictures depicting your selection, there are activated and when you can see the pictures they are not active. I'm not sure if my watch is defective but hopefully this will save someone some aggravation. Very confusing.2) I hate that I can't deactivate the beeping noises when I push a button. My kids love this and it attracts them to the watch like magnets but I find no practical value in this.I have gotten NUMEROUS compliments for the watch, most of which assume a very high price point. I have taken it into the river and as mentioned above it has passed the "kids test" proving its durability. I have no regrets and at this price if you have gotten as far as reading the review I suggest you just buy the watch. It will cost you less then the price of taking someone out to dinner and you will actually have something to show for it.
