Great compact cordless drill
I've been looking for a good compact right angle drill. This fits the bill perfectly, compact head, powerful, and cordless. Makita tools don't disappoint, and this has been a life saver

Do not lose the chuck key, hard to find.
I love how compact the drill head is perfect for make hole saw cutouts in electrical panels. The handle that come with it makes it stable.

Light weight meaning has strong grip drill at any speed.
Made in Japan, compact design. Smoothy motor and all metal chuck. It was on sales. Strong suggest buy this angle drill any time.

Quality and Powerful Angle Drill
As an angle drill, it is nice made and very powerful. It is perfect for drilling where space is limited. I bought it for house renovation and it does a good job. The only thing which is not well designed is the battery position is outstanding. This makes things difficult when drilling or cutting hole (with holesaw) on a large panel, as the battery can touch the panel first before completing the drilling.

Made in Japan & super compact
It is not often a makita tool sold in the US is made in Japan. This is a bit lighter than my 18v dewalt right angle drill that pushed to its limit and died. This one though has a really compact head that's 2 inches shorter than the old 18v dewalt keyless chuck right angle drill. Having a keyed chuck contributed to the short head but some may prefer a keyless chuck. This bare tool came with a handle, chuck key clip but NOT a belt clip.

Not enough torque
I have the Makita 18V cordless drills, impact drivers and hammer drill so naturally I went to Makita for the angle drill so I can share batteries and I like the brand. It's a nice drill and very compact. It only has one speed range. Many others have commented on the great torque - maybe it's just me but mine is just not very powerful compared to my other Makita drills. I tried drilling a 1" hole in pine with a new, sharp flat head bit - wouldn't do it. Not even close. I know this is a specialty tool but I'm disappointed with the lack of power.
