About the internals
I didn't use this product for its intended purpose of a QC25 cable. I needed a 2.5mm plug for a hobby project. First word of caution for this purpose, even though both ends of the cable are 4-conductor they are not wired together. Conductors 3 and 4 are carried by the same wire. The wires are also hard to work with as they are coated with thin cloth or plastic fiber insulation which can't be wirestripped or sandpapered off; had to pass them through a candle to burn off the insulation and expose the copper but this damages the strands and creates shorts if too much insulation burns off. It was much easier to work with the other cable I had purchased which was fully connected and had wires encased in separate plastic sleeves which could be stripped.

Broke 3 months later
Works as a bare minimum... have only had for a few months and the mic componate has fallen apart exposing wires... still works. But not great quality... also super sensitive.. friends can hear things going on multiple rooms away.. makes it difficult to game as they can hear everything that happens through my mic, when my audio is only ran through my headphones... not bad for a 10$ cable... but expected better

Control Case barely held together
I was simply adjusting the volume and the case just simply came apart with the pressure of my fingers. It took forever to get it back together--the volume control doesn't work and it has to be taped closed because it doesn't "snap" in or anything. One star because Hey.. its 2020--make an audio cord that lasts longer than a week or don't put a volume control on it.

Garbage
Ordered for my sons Bose headphones. We have been threw 3-4 of them. The last three lasted a month or less. I know it’s only a $10 chord but seriously?? Wouldn’t buy again. We bought a Bluetooth adapter and just went wireless.

Sound clear at first.
Sound clear at first. Only had them for a month, well taken cared of. Starting to hear a static like noise. Didn't last very long.
