Frog's TungCell Phone Lanyard Safety Tether Compatable With IPhone, Galaxy, All Smartphones, Tablets and Mobile Devices

So far so good. I bought this for someone that keeps losing their phone and could no longer find a case that properly held an old Motorola Razr. These phones won't die. I wish today's phones were as durable as the Razr. This works great with a flip phone. No reason to remove it from your neck to answer it, therefore you don't put it down and forget it. The hold on this is much stronger than that to which it is attached. That was the only negative having caught the lanyard on a booth getting out, the back battery cover came off the phone but the frog stuck. If we hadn't been paying attention we would have walked out of the restaurant with only the back battery cover. Unfortunately on a small phone like the Razr there IS no other place to attach it to the phone, He loves it though. Here's to a year of keeping a phone without losing it.

Bought this for my husband who is very tall. We were looking for a lanyard that would keep him from dropping his phone. We very much like the design and ease of installation--very simple. We like the thickness of the lanyard as well. The glue seems quite strong. On the flipside, the phone did slip out of his hands yesterday when he was taking it off his neck and fell on his scooter and disconnected...don't know why it would do that. Also, it is almost 2 close to read on the table (or even in his hand...he has long arms) when he puts it there. An adjustable/longer leash would have helped.

*** I had to take a star off and edit this review****'The earlier poster was correct about the adhesive not being strong. My USB drive weighs less than an ounce but the sticky is totally inferior and came right off. I'll still use the item but be careful not to "trust the adhesive" until you try it for a day. I would not trust this product with my phone.Finally, the solution I was seeking but not for my phone. I needed to attach a lanyard to a USB drive without a pre-cut hole for one as the manufacturers seem to want users to carry in your pocket.I recently found a very small enclosure for my MSATA card to serve as a USB drive. The problem was, none of these enclosures had a way to attach a lanyard. Working in IT everyday requires I have a drive around my neck otherwise I'll lose it.The Frog's Tung did exactly what I needed.The Tung is a small "square" and despite the fact I didn't get it positioned right the first time, I was able to easily change the position then reattach with no loss of grip.Granted the USB drive is much lighter than a phone. If you clean the item really well with rubbing alcohol prior to attaching the "tung" then waiting 30 minutes the results were as advertised. I presume some of the other reviews were from buyers that did not clean the item well first.I now am able to work with the drive around my neck as I always did, but take advantage of the large, fast, SSD rather than the slower USB drives. I fully trust the drive is secure and won't be "falling off" and life is good again!Thumbs up big time!

My lanyard arrived yesterday, & it is exactly what I'd hoped for & needed. I'm a senior woman, living alone, & feel that my cell phone should be on my person at all times in case I should find myself in sudden need of assistance. Needless to say, not all of my clothes have pockets. I had tried a stretchy plastic lanyard that wraps around the phone, but found that the phone was likely to work it's way out when I was sitting & there was no weight holding it tight, which resulted in the phone dropping to the floor when I stood up; not good! This lanyard attaches to the phone itself or phone case. I have an Otterbox Symmetry case on my iPhone & decided to attach the sticky square to the inside of my case & feed it through the cut out for inserting the charger, which was easily done (and doesn't interfere with charging the phone in the least). Even if the adhesive should let go, the square itself is too big to pull out, so I feel that my phone is doubly safe. The lanyard is comfortable & seems to be well made. I feel like it's a bit overpriced, but even so, it's the best solution I've come across so far!

Adhesion will come loose. I had to use gorilla glue to keep it attached.

I have used this Frog's Tung for 3 years & the plate is still stuck to my Cell Phone Case, and shows no sign of coming loose. The phone case has a rubbery plastic feel , with very little texture. I replaced the lanyard first thing because it does not have a break-away connection. You should never use a lanyard without a break-away, to many chances of hurting your neck, if it gets caught or hangs up on you. How ever to each his own. I like this Frog's Tung a lot. My phone goes in my shirt pocket. I attached the Frog plate so my phone hangs upside down, that way it is right side up when I want to use it. The tighter the pocket the more issues you may have, like dis-connects. I really like this device, so much so that I'm going to order another one for my new Samsung Galaxy phone. This case has more texture so I may update this review later.
