The Hess Toys are great and this chopper and car are no exception. My 7 year old son really wanted this chopper after playing with it at a friend's house. We got it for his birthday and he has loved playing with it. We've had it almost a year and he still plays with it. It's fun for all different ages. My 1, 3, and now 8 year old sons all love playing with this vehicle. The chopper makes helicopter sounds. The vehicle and chopper light up. I love that there is a door on the helicopter that the vehicle fits into. There is a window that allows you to see the vehicle when it is in the chopper. Just as a warning the helicopter is pretty noisy. We've owned this toy almost a year and haven't had to change the batteries yet. I would definitely recommend his toy.

I almost cancelled this item I am so glad I did not. This is a beautiful gift. I bought it for my grandson. The sounds that it makes are so realistic it has 3 or four buttons on the side if you press them in order and shut you eyes your imagination world let you hear the sounds of a helicopter from start up to take off. The lights are nice but I wish they were a little bit brighter This is a sturdy item and seems to be kid friendly. The cargo hold is large and it has lights and it fits in the plane it is also sturdy. I would highly recommend this and all Hess products

I was introduced to the Hess brand last year when my son got a truck for x-mas. I was amazed at the quality. This year his aunt got him the helicopter and it didn't disappoint! My son is 7 and he has 5 younger cousins and to say they can be rough on toys is an understatement. This helicopter has weathered a ton of abuse and still works great. The propeller spins, the copter lights up, and makes noise (not too loud, just enough to be fun) and the little car has pull back action so you can get it to drive itself right up the ramp into the copter. I ordered 2 more for my nephews for x-mas next year. Great product!

My daughter is really into helicopters and airplanes (she is 21 months) so I figured this would be perfect for Christmas. I love how many lights light up on the helicopter and how the top red light and the side lights on the SUV light up as well. The blades spin at a pretty fast pace but when my daughter touches the blades while spinning, it does not hurt to the touch. The sound effects add to the overall "wow" factor of the toy. She has dropped it once or twice on our laminate wood flooring and it is not broken. It seems to be pretty sturdy and entertaining as well.

As a child I used to play with these. My father collects them and their quality is sublime. They have lights sound and the moving parts all work. The rotor works on the batteries and moves around. Everything is made out of quality plastic.The wheels of the car are made out of rubber and the car fits nicely with in the Helicopter.

I read all the other Grandmothers comments about the Hess trucks and decided to try them. I was amazed by the quality. I also got my grandson a 3 foot long Bruder flatbed truck with backhoe. I think the Hess Helicopter was better made and more interesting with all of the lights, motion and sound. Congratulations Hess for a fantastic job. My grandson chose the Helicopter by Hess over the Bruder Truck. I also got the Hess Tow Truck and race car which we opened today. It is again high quality, interesting and my grandson did not stop playing with it all afternoon.

Purchased this for my two-year-old and he loves it! Not sure about the disclaimer of small parts - not for under 3. This item has zero parts smaller than the truck show in the picture. Nothing comes apart, so there are no small parts. This toy is constructed well and feels very durable. The lights, the sounds, the propellers, and the mobile truck are very entertaining. This is a very cool toy. Wish I had these as a child. The truck already contains a battery, while the helicopter requires two C-size batteries. You and your child will not be disappointed with this toy.
