Polaroid PMP700-4 Touchscreen 4GB Media Player with Huge 7" Touchscreen (Black) - Store Pictures, Play Music & Videos!

The unit works well, why three stars then well it will not work in the car off the usb port that was the main reason I bought the PMP 700-4 due to 32 gigs of wav music and MP4 shows.

I love this media player because I like to watch movies from YouTube anywhere. I just might buy another one...

It comes on but does not do anything. Touchscreen do not work at all. Customer service seems sympathetic when you call but no one there seem to know what they are doing or talking about. It was a waste of money in hind sight. I would recommend them to anyone I know

I will update this review later after we've used it awhile. I just wanted to quickly post what I learned to get it going. I don't want others going through the Customer Service splashing that I endured and the checking different file formats to find out what works. Here is what worked for me. This device showed up on my computer as :G drive. All you do is copy and paste files into it. As far as video files are concerned, MP4 and MOV file formats, did NOT work. WMV files did work. So, I used my Prism Video File Conversion software to convert my DVD and my computer video files to WMV format. Once I did that, the Polaroid worked just fine.

I have had 2 of these, returned the first when the text reader stopped working. the replacement player also stopped reading text. I did not return the second unit , decided to keep for other functionality. it will play movies if they are in the correct format.The photo viewer is very nice. The touch screen is resistive and very responsive.The battery life is good to excellent. Can play a couple of movies before battery exhaustion.It will not function as player while charging. It charges thru the usb port. you can transport files between your pc and the unit while charging.It has 4 gig internal flash memory and supports micro sd cards. have used 8 gig microsd with no problems.I think you can find a better product for the money.

Good sound and video quality, but the battery life is not good. The device doesn't work when it's charging, and it doesn't come with with a charger.

the product is very good but the on/off switch is poorly made. I've had two and both are broken for the same problem, the on/off switch.

Bought it for my little brother:)
