We were in the Lake District on holiday this week. Midway through our stay, my car died. I couldn't even open the doors with the fob. Once opened with the emergency key, there were no lights on the dash. Nothing. Inspecting the car, I found an interior light switch in the ON position. The kids must have left it on a couple of days ago. Being an old car, there wasn't an auto kill function for the lights which would have saved us from this situation. Furthermore my emergency breakdown cover had lapsed! So I ordered this to be delivered to our cottage. In the interim, we did lots of walks around Coniston( highly recommended!) Once it arrived, I charged it up for just under 4 hours. The instructions have lots of grammatical errors but you get the gist of it. Once fully charged I connected it using the provided cables, said a prayer and pressed the ignition button on my 2.5L Subaru. It started! I literally couldn't believe it. Also once started, it confirmed that the cabin light was the culprit. Couldn't find the human culprit though, both vehemently denying they switched it on although have my suspicions. :) Anyway, that startup caused the box to lose one bar of power. So I charged it up and carried it along on the boot of the car just in case but I'm glad to say that it wasn't needed for the rest of the holiday. By the way you can also use it as a USB battery pack for charging your phone and it has a reasonably bright LED torch built in. The box itself is small and comes in its own carry case. You charge this up using a USB type C cable. It didn't come with a wall plug so I used my Google Pixel Phone high capacity charger to good effect.In summary, I was mighty pleased with this little box. It does what it says and will accompany me on my holidays from now onwards. Great bit if emergency kit. Highly recommended.

My car battery is well on its way out but I'm not replacing it as I'm scrapping the car shortly. As I don't use my car every day, I currently need to charge it pretty much every time I need the car! So, over the last month, this little charger has been amazing! One full charge of the main unit via USB or mains, and it's still pretty much full up after re-booting my car battery about 12 times. Amazing, easy. Just line up the + and - symbols on the jump leads with the + and - signs on your car battery, clip them onto the relevant charging points and turn your key in the ignition. Works every time! Make sure you attach the clips properly or you'll get a high-pitched warning sound and once the car is started the warning sound comes on until you remove the clips. There's a torch on the unit too which is very helpful in the dark. All in all, an absolute gem of a charger, so small and well made and it fits in a great little zipped up case with compartments to keep things in place and tidy. I think the unit is meant to keep its charge for 3 months...but I'm yet to test that out. A great gift for anyone who has a car. Gone are the days of finding someone with a car and jump leads! Would highly recommend and whilst my scenario is not the greatest and won't continue for very long at all, it's been a fabulous testing experiment to prove to viability of this little gem. I will always make sure I have one in any car.

Bought this next day delivery to jump start my 1.2 polo as battery was completely dead for 2 days. Seriously can’t believe how easy and quick it was to use. It came 75% charged and although instructions said charge for 3 hours before using I only charged it for a hour and it worked brilliantly. As my engine is only 1.2 it was fine to use at 75% but if it was to be used on a diesel or larger engine up to 4L then you need to have it fully charged at 100%. So easy to use just attached jumper clamps to my battery then turned it on and green light came on within 2 seconds showing I could now start my car, my car started straight away with a couple of revs on the gas and stayed on after I removed the jump clamps. I am so impressed with this device, it can hold its charge for up to 3 months so I will keep it in boot ready incase I need it again especially on these freezing cold mornings. Not only does it jump start my car but also can be used to charge phones on the go and comes with different size connectors for iPhones and androids. It’s easy to charge at home as it comes with a usb connector so can be plugged in to any usb outlet, it does not however come with a mains plug in adaptor charger. I researched quite a few models before I purchased this one and there are cheaper ones out there and also more expensive types but the reviews on this one made up my mind so money well spent. Another good point is I will never have to find a stranger to help me jump start my car if it dies again.

This is a first class piece of equipment. Battery never seems to drop to far, and so far it has started an flat battery on the first go.
